Caves too.
Darkness is given in caves. It's bare-bones. I'm aware this can lead to lots of issues. You can configure your darkness plusing in the accessibility settings. There isn't a defined way to play with darkness. There are ways to counter it. Figure it :3
Standard Turret / Missile Turret
Place any solid block, place a fence or wall above the block, attach a turret on top of a fence/wall, and place a barrel behind the turret structure Turrets need to be fed arrows or fireworks, depending on what you make.
Water Pressurizer
Similar to turrets, but functions as a passive structure. It grants players water breathing and stabilizes water pressure when swimming in the deeper parts of the ocean. (Removes any debuffs that are usually given, but darkness remains)
Conduit
Buffed to make you immune to pressure damage, any depth debuffs, and remove darkness.
