Betrayal SMP Structure Addon

A custom datapack addon for Betrayal SMP that adds an exploration-based progression system through custom treasure maps and buried treasures.

Players can find special treasure maps inside Toolsmith and Weaponsmith village chests and follow them to hidden buried treasures. Each treasure randomly selects one of three loot types when generated:

• Tools
• Armour
• Enchantments

This gives players another way to discover useful progression items while exploring the world.

Features

Custom Buried Treasures

The addon adds custom buried treasure locations throughout the Overworld.

Each generated treasure randomly selects one of the three available treasure types:

• Tools
• Armour
• Enchantments

The selected type determines the loot found inside the treasure chest.

Treasure Maps

Special treasure maps can be found in Toolsmith and Weaponsmith village chests.

• Toolsmith chest: 100% chance to contain a treasure map
• Weaponsmith chest: 100% chance to contain a treasure map

Each map points players toward a buried treasure location using Minecraft's built-in exploration-map system.

Randomized Treasure Loot

Every treasure provides one randomly selected loot category, making each discovery different.

Tools

Tool treasures can contain useful Minecraft tools along with iron and diamond resources.

Armour

Armour treasures can contain randomly selected armour pieces, with a chance of receiving higher-tier diamond equipment and an anvil-related reward.

Enchantments

Enchantment treasures can contain randomly generated enchanted books along with additional progression loot.

How It Works

The progression loop is simple:

Explore Villages → Find a Toolsmith/Weaponsmith Chest → Get a Treasure Map → Follow the Map → Find the Buried Treasure → Collect Your Random Loot

The treasure itself is always a buried custom structure, while its loot type is randomly selected when the treasure is generated.

Compatibility

Minecraft Java Edition 26.3

This release is built and tested for Minecraft 26.3.

Older Minecraft versions are not currently supported.

Installation

1. Download the datapack.
2. Place the .zip file into your world's datapacks folder.
3. Start or reload the world.
4. Run /datapack list to verify that the addon is enabled.

The addon is designed to work alongside the Betrayal SMP plugin.
