# Random Roll The datapack creates an animated text counter ("spinning cube"), which can be started either with a regular command or automatically by placing an object with a certain value in an item frame. ## Usage - **Roll through the command:** ``` /function randomroll:roll {max:50,objective:variable1} ``` - **Roll through the frame:** hang an `item_frame`, put an item with a component in it `minecraft:custom_data` of the form `{max:50,objective:variable1}` — at the next tick The datapack will automatically remove the item and launch a roll with a maximum of 50 and a nearest player scoreboard. Copy the datapack to the `saves//datapacks/` folder. 2. In the game, run `/reload` (or enter the world again). 3.
