Details
This data pack is designed for the Origins mod. For the best experience, it is highly recommended to also use Pehkui and Mob Origins, though the data pack should still somewhat function without them.
This Data Pack differs significantly from the standard Origins Data Pack. I highly recommend you watch the video embedded above to learn how to set it up correctly.
Keep in mind, this minigame is strictly multiplayer and requires some form of server to play. Setting this up with a server host is likely more work than most players will want to do, so I recommend using a mod like e4mc, World Host, or Essential.
🕹️ Player Roles 🕹️
Slime
Your role is to remain unseen. Yet you must fulfill the needs of the slime colony to prevent exposure.
🟩 Oozing Mimicry [Primary]: Your body is mutable clay. Focus on a common interactable object, and your form will ripple into a flawless facsimile. Release your focus, and the disguise melts away into your natural state.
🟩 Cloak in Stillness [Sneak]: When wearing a stolen shape, you may still yourself entirely, sinking into the world’s grid like a shadow slipping between cracks. Only the keenest eyes will sense the wrongness in your stillness.
🟩 Corrosive Touch [Left Click]: Focus your acidic essence onto a single block, causing it to dissolve instantly. This ability can only be performed once every 30 seconds. Use it to create new hiding spots.
🟡 Gravity's Paradox: The ground is your tar and your trampoline. It clings to your every step, yet rewards every leap with a resilient, gravity-defying bounce.
🔴 Peril of Desiccation: The seekers wield weapons of pure desiccation, designed to shrivel your mass. A single touch means instantaneous dissolution. Disguise and evasion are your only defense.
🔴 Slimy Imperative: Periodically, your kind is driven by a primal need. If no slime fulfills this need, a psychic backlash will ripple through the hive, revealing all of your locations to the hunters.
Seeker
Your role is to hunt down and contain the infestation. Complete this goal in time or suffer failure.
🟢 Desiccator’s Blade: Your blade emits a field of rapid desiccation. It is anathema to the slime’s gelatinous biology. A clean strike will instantly dehydrate a mimic, reducing it to an inert stain.
🟢 Desiccation Launcher: A ranged instrument that fires concentrated absorbent packets, allowing you to test suspicious objects and eliminate targets from a distance.
🟢 Keen Senses: Your hunter's vision pierces the deepest shadows, and your movements are unnervingly swift and powerful. The environment offers you no resistance.
🟢 Unyielding Form: You are a warden of order. Even the slimes' pathetic struggles cannot harm you. Your only vulnerability is failure.
🔴 Sterilization Protocol: The contagion must be contained within the operational window. If a single slime organism remains undissolved at zero, the area is considered lost to the infestation, and you have failed.
Spectator
You cannot interact with the world, nor can it interact with you. Your role is to watch, learn, and await the next round.
