Long time no updates, huh? I didn't release 1.21.4 and 1.21.5 publicly since it would be a literal waste of time completely not rewarding the effort. There is no reason for me to port to version nobody is going to play except a few individuals. But since I promised a 1.21.6 port then oh well.
This might be the final update to Stellarity. I am no longer interested in working on the project full time and have switched priorities to actual mods and modpacks. Amber is the new maintainer of the project with me helping around every now and then. Don't expect any huge content updates anymore and consider the project complete.

General
✨ Resource pack is now required to run Stellarity. Sorry server owners who are against server RPs, but I'd rather not limit myself for your convienience :3
✨ Added an advancement tab that shows all of the Altar of The Accursed recipes.
In order to unlock it, craft the Endonomicon.
✨ All Stellarity advancements now mention they come from Stellarity.
Items
✨ Redesigned most items' visual and sound effects.
🟢 Increased Enderman's Hand drop rate in the Overworld to 10% (affected by Looting).
🔴 Increased Elytra's boost durability penalty for both Fireworks (6 -> 8) and Tridents (6 + lvl*2
-> 8 + lvl*3

Dev note: those were still pretty absurd on normal Elytras, but they were also what essentially allowed Phantom Wings to become insanely overpowered for the stage of the game they are obtainable on.

that are only used for very specific technical purposes have been moved to the _technical
subfolder. This breaks existing items that relied on them (Kaleidoscope, Dragonblade, Frigid Harvester, Sandstorm Trident, Prismatic Punch, Prismember)

Satchel of Voids (NEW!)
Satchel of Voids allows you to use Altar's crafting functionality anywhere with a cooldown. Alternatively, you can put it in in an Item Frame attached to a block of Crying Obsidian to create your very own, permanent (but movable) Altar.
Removed Items.
🔥 Removed Clockwork Crossbow. 🔥 Removed Chorus Dagger. 🔥 Removed Dragon's Eye. 🔥 Removed all void fishing Crates. 🔥 Removed Living Flesh. 🔥 Removed Hematic Pickaxe. 🔥 Removed Pandora's Barrel.
Just before someone asks me why:
- Clockwork Crossbow is an idea that works great in theory but in reality is either too OP or bad. Nothing in between. Also, I hated this item.
- Chorus Dagger was boring. I was supposed to rework it, but I'd much rather add something new and exciting rather than work on an old and barely useful item.
- Dragon's Eye - caused crashes for some unknown reason. I had no idea how to rework it so that those wouldn't happen, so whatever, I'll miss the texture but the item itself was not that useful anyway.
- Crates - they stray away from vanilla a bit too much for my liking. Some of their loot elements have been added to the VF pools.
- Living Flesh - barely useful, comes from a biome I planned on removing or replacing anyway.
- Hematic Pickaxe - I don't see it being much of a use and it's only there to be there.
- Pandora's Barrel - the reason being that I forget to add modern biomes and the item isn't known a lot anyway.
This was also done in order to slightly reduce the bloat of the pack. We really don't need a shit ton of different sword variants or niche artifacts.
Tamaris, Call of The Void, Crest of The End
Grouping them together for this one cause the change is simple - their way of obtaining has changed.
Tamaris no longer drops from the Ender Dragon. It's not crafted at the Altar of The Accursed. Same goes for the Crest of The End (no longer found in End Cities).
Call of The Void on the other hand lost its recipe. It is now wielded by every Skeleton in The End and has a very small chance to be dropped when they die.
Loaf of Plenty
🔴 Introduced a 10 seconds cooldown on consuming.
Chorus Armor
🟡 Renamed Chorus Champion Armor to just Champion Armor.
Dragonblade
🟡 Dragonblade punch was reworked from 70% armor penetration to 40% true damage. This means that punches now deal less damage to armored targets, but ignore Protection enchantment, proving more lethal in PvP scenarios. This is an experimental change I did out of curiosity if this would change the PvP meta (if anyone even PvPs with Stellarity items) a bit away from just maxed Harvesters and solidify the Dragonblade as the best sword for that purpose.
Punch damage remains UNCHANGED.
🔴 Increased punch wind up time (9 ticks -> 16 ticks).
Frigid Harvester
✨ Renamed to just Harvester.
Hitting this one with back to back nerfs.
The abilities play a crucial role in Harvester's damage output, but the ability to get all of them was what really sent its power into oblivion. I decided to rework them into something more meaningful rather than a gotta catch 'em all
type of mechanic.
✨ Added a new advancement line for the Harvester which explains what all abilities do.
🟡 Rebalanced all abilities. Most of them were buffed with minor exceptions (Embrittlement wasn't changed and Anima Conduit received a small nerf to its feeding).

🔴 Reduced max number of abilities on a single Harvester (uncapped -> 3).
Food
✨ Amethyst Budfish is no longer consumable.
🐛 Fixed Stellarity food items taking 0.1s shorter to eat than vanilla food items (very breaking).
🔴 Reduced all effect durations from void fish.
🔴 Golden Chorus Fruit now takes 5 seconds to eat (noting this one as a nerf because apparently it was an amazing escape tool).
It also only teleports you into loaded chunks, which while it does nerf its exploration capabilities, makes it a lot more bearable on the server.
Prismatic Pearl
🐛 No longer puts regular Ender Pearls on cooldown.
Phantom Wings
✨ Reverted the nerf done to Phantom Wings.
✨ Buffed them as well:
- 🟢 Increased durability from whatever I set it to to 156.
- 🟢 Reverted the change done to the flight distance. Also reduced the penalty (-50% -> -40%)
Dev note: What really broke this item was the fact it is an Elytra, so it synergises with Firework Rockets. The base item was completely ruined by 3.0.6's nerf.
Cursed Enchiridion
🟡 Now hints towards how to create it in a more intuitive way.
🟡 Renamed to Endonomicon.
🟡 There is a placeholder implementation as of this writing.
Prismatic Punch
✨ Mini-rework:
- 🟡 No longer uses Fireworks as damage.
- 🟢 Increased explosion damage to 9 for normal shots and 13 for Multishot.
- 🔴 Slightly reduced Inferno duration. 🖌️ Reworked explosion visuals.
Spellbooks
🐛 Changed base item model for all Spellbooks to a Warped Fugus on a Stick for better (and much less janky) right-click detection. This fixes:
- Spellbooks landing in the wrong inventory slot after being used.
- Book of Jinx jinxing its user.
- Weird shenanigans with unlock all recipe datapacks (you still shouldn't use them, just use EMI).
Unfortunately this breaks ALL existing spellbooks. It's a whatever, they were all due to a rewrite anyway.
🔥 Nerfed Book of Light.
- 🔴 Cooldown increased: 31 seconds -> 40 seconds
- 🔴 Duration reduced: 22 seconds -> 20 seconds
- 🔴 Knockback resistance reduced: 30% -> 15%
- 🔴 Regeneration tier reduced: II -> I
- 🟢 Aura radius increased: 5.5 -> 7

- 🔴 Attack Damage: +12% -> +10%
- 🟡 Movement Speed: +10%
- 🟢 Attack Speed: +8% -> +12%

Mobs
Empress of Light
🟢 Patched by Amber. The fight remains chaotic, but issues such as persistent particle effects, broken armor stands, and unkillable empress of light have mostly been ironed out
Illagers (Stronghold only)
🔴 NERFED (all caps) Illagers in Strongholds. Also reduced odds for the special items to drop for everything EXCEPT Evoker spellbooks. 🔴 Evokers are a lot rarer in Strongholds due to their absurd tracking (I don't know if this was just a thing with 1.21.1 Paper on a server I played on, but once they got track of you, they would NEVER stop casting spells).
Phantoms
✨ Phantoms in the Overworld now scale every in-game day instead of every 1.5 in-game days (insomnia mechanic).
🔴 Nerf insomnia scaling.
🐛 Fixed Phantoms in the Overworld not scaling their stats properly with insomnia (they only grew in size, but not in power).
Enchantments
Dune Speed
🐛 Fixed it being obtainable from Enchanting Table and Villagers. No, that was never intended to happen.
What's next?
No idea what this project is going to turn into from this point onwards. Amber joined me as a new maintainer for it as I lost interest in continuing it. Does that mean no new updates? Probably not. She seems motivated enough to deliver at least something small, but who knows. I am definitely not going to work on anything big anymore. Cosider this project as discontinued, only receiving minor additions and being ported to newer versions. Blame Mojang's new update schedule and plethora of breaking changes every minor release for my lack of interest.
I'm still here, not leaving. Not disappearing randomly off the internet. Just stepping away from Stellarity. At least while it's in this form. Currently I am focusing on my upcoming modpack.
Stellarity is scheduled to be recoded into a proper mod - Stellarity ~ Enligthened
- but I have no idea when that's going to happen. The scope is huge tho, so stay tuned and maybe pray that we get to work on it some day ^^

🐛 Fixed Dragon being left invulnerable at 1 HP during the final hit phase due to rounding shenanigans (seemingly only happened on Multiplayer and was incredibly unpredictable).

Phantom Wings
Since I have a chance to do it, I'll just casually mention that the original 3.0 changelog was wrong - they don't have a recipe. It will be added in the 1.21.4
I originally wanted to add a pair of early-game Elytras due to how bad other mobility options are at that point of the game, but they kinda overshadowed everything too much. This doesn't nerf their firework synergy, which I'll probably destroy in 1.21.4. A .6 patch is not the place for reworks.
🔥 Reduced durability (104 -> 70).
🔥 Increased flight distance penalty from 50% to 65%.
Hematic Pickaxe
✨ Slightly improved Hematic Pickaxe extra drop rates.
🐛 Fixed Hematic Pickaxe not digging up any extra loot at all. This does not fix existing ones.
Frigid Harvester
🟢 Frigid Harvester remains unchanged. Expect a huge nerf in 1.21.4, as I have no intetion of backporting it.
Structures
End City
🟡 Slight internal changes to how drawing loot in End Vaults works. It now includes a few drops from the default End City loot table (which in Stellarity is now empty by default). Let me know if this causes any problems with other mods - if yes, then I'll add support for those manually.
🐛 Fixed Critical Strike book being unobtainable - they are now found in Ominous End Vaults, like originally intended.
✨ I forgot to list this change in 3.0.3 changelogs, so I will mention it now: Lingering Potions have been slightly reworked - they now lose size slightly quicker than before, but don't lose size per affected mob anymore. This doesn't affect Lingering Potions spawned from Trial Spawners.

✨ Stellar Striker trade now restocks.
🐛 Tome of Return now starts ticking cooldown before the teleport happens as a failsafe for it becoming unusable. Elaboration in the spoiler.
Spoiler
It applies a tag to players in the animation to prevent them from starting another teleport while already in one. Removing the tag is done first right after the teleport and then as a failsafe at the end of its cooldown. However, there is some weird glitch I only managed to replicate once where the teleport just doesn't happen at all (much more common in multiplayer). Ticking the cooldown started only after the teleport succeeded, so before this change, both the normal way to remove the tag as well as the failsafe didn't go off at all.
Existing bugged players can be fixed by doing /tag <player> remove stellarity.book_of_return.in_animation
🐛 Fixed Timeless Traveller advancement still checking for old biome IDs and also missing new biomes.
🐛 Fixed Feast of the Otherworld advancement not progressing on a few food items.
🐛 Fixed Prismite being unable to be used in Cauldron recipes.
🐛 Fixed items being stuck levitating during Cauldron breath brewing if the Cauldron is broken.
🐛 Fixed Altar of Light buff duration not scaling with the amount of sacrificed resources.
🐛 Dragon should no longer be invulnerable to damage during it's last hit phase. I am saying should as I didn't test it. Like most of the multiplayer bugs, I only managed to replicate it once (and even then it was during the time I was changing working function code).
🐛 Slimes in End Cities now split like regular Slimes do cause honestly I have no idea what that multiplayer issue was even about.
This should mark the end of the 1.21 updates. Future content updates will be for 1.21.4+, but 1.21 will still receive bugfixes if needed.

Anyway, I think we can all agree v2.1a was a buggy mess. I am sorry that an update which was supposed to be just a hotfix evolved into... whatever this is, but I got a tiny bit carried away.

⚡ Put all sounds and textures through FileOptimizer to hopefully reduce the size of the Resource Pack.
⚡ Removed all unused worldgen files.
⚡ Reverted changes made to Stronghold generation in v2.1a, which made them generate further away and increased their count to 4000. These were the reason behind worlds taking ages to load.
⚡ Optimized how counting down entity cooldowns works.
⚡ Optimized entity NBT editing done through /data modify wherever possible.
⚡ Optimized Altar crafting checks (because they were kinda ass).
⚡ Slight optimizations to custom durability system.
⚡ Slight optimization to the item (entity) loop, now it doesn't tick EVERY item entity, but rather only the ones which Stellarity should tick.
⚡ Conversions of Skeletons into Strays in Frosted Hills and Zombified Piglins into Flesh Piglins in Flesh Tundra are now ticked every second instead of every tick.
This will be accompanied with some unnecessary visual jank, but only in some specific scenarios. In regular gameplay, this shouldn't be noticeable

Elytra Flight (NEW!)
✨ Elytra now produce a smol visual trail while gliding. ✨ The trail can be changed at the Altar of The Accursed by combining it with any Dye. Combine it with a Water Bucket to remove any Dye's effects.
✨ The following dyes can be combined with an Elytra to change the trail particles:

Totem Void Protection
🐛 Fixed Totems of Undying not saving players from dying to the void.
✨ Also changed how the aforementioned saving works - instead of giving levitation, it now teleports players to X ~ Y 270 Z ~ and gives them slow falling.
Void Fishing
✨ Void Fishing now supports Luck of The Sea enchant level up to 10.
🔥 Greatly nerfed the quality of void fishing drops + Crate rewards.
🐛 Fixed Void Fishing not working at all.
🐛 Fixed Void Fishing warning message for attempting to fish too low not showing properly.
🐛 Crates can now properly roll Spectral Arrows, Eyes of Ender, Arrows and Ender Pearls. They were always supposed to do 0 - 2 rolls in that pool, but they never did any at all.
Altar of The Accursed
🐛 Armor Trims now carry over to the result item while upgrading Netherite Armor at the Altar of The Accursed.
🐛 Items thrown on top of the AoTA now stack properly.

Improved consecration sounds and visuals.
Status Effects
🐛 Fixed Stellarity DoT effects making players technically attack themselves when applied to them.

✨ Now makes hearts dark, just like Wither.

Worldgen

✨ Phantoms can now spawn in the following biomes: End Barrens, End Wilds.
🔥 Husks no longer spawn in End Wilds.

Chapel of Light
✨ Redesigned Chapel of Light - it is now way larger and prettier. Still, it only serves one core purpose.
End Villages
✨ Now generate Waystones instead of Lodestones if installed.
🔥 Temporarily disabled custom trades. They will be re-enabled in 2.3.0.
End City
I have actually reworked End Cities completely. You know, in a hotfix update.
Instead of being pure Shulker Hell, they are now designed to be more of a test of skill with great difficulty and great rewards.
🔥 Nerfed chest rewards. Removed Chests from the top towers.
🔮 A protective variant of End Crystal is spawned in the very top room of the towers, causing all nearby players to suffer a Creative Shock!
Creative Shock is a variant of Mining Fatigue inflicted by Elder Guardians. However it is a bit weaker, as it doesn't slow down your attack speed! Though it does make you unable to break or place blocks. Creative Shock does not go out after drinking Milk! Nothing can save you from that powerful effect + debuff removing accessories don't work on it either! Destroy the Crystal to spawn a loot chest at its place! Be careful though, you have to swiftly parkour your way to the top while avoiding OR fending off hordes of mobs!
❗ The amount of protective Crystals varies per City! The more towers there are, the more crystals you have to break to get rid of the debuff and the greater the loot! ❕ Creative Shock does go out on its own after 15 seconds if you move far enough from an End City, so don't worry if you get it by accident!
⚓ Since you can't build to End Ships anymore, you either have to levitate to them or use an Ender Pearl! Or alternatively get rid of all the Crystals... 🔮 SIKE! The last one spawns on the Ship!
🔥 Greatly nerfed the amount of spawned Shulkers inside of End Cities...
..but some of them have been replaced with more powerful foes!
✨ The entrance to the End City is now always cleared of any blocks which could make it impossible to enter.

Enderite (NEW!)
No, this is not what you think. Enderite is not an ore, it is instead a crystalic substance of a mysterious origin. While small, it radiates with great power.
✨ Added Enderite Shards.
- 2% chance to drop from ANY End Stone block.
✨ Added Enderite Smithing Templates.
All AoTA Netherite armor upgrades now use one in their recipes.
- Sometimes found in loot chests, alternatively copied at the Altar of The Accursed with 9 Purpur Blocks and 5 Enderite Shards.
Starless Scythe (NEW!)
Attacks in large sweeps which deal heavy AoE damage and heal its wielder for a portion of damage dealt! Has a few enchantment interactions for you to find AND can be used like a regular Hoe. Because that's exactly what battle scythes are for...
- Found in End Cities.
Book of Jinx (NEW!)
A support spellbook that shoots a growing cloud of Jinx. Anything caught inside will have its defense lowered for some time.
- Found in End Cities.
Tome of Return (NEW!)
Teleports players to their spawpoint. It's as simple as that.
- Rarely found in End Cities.
Spectral Fury (NEW!)
Overcharging shots converts Spectral Arrows into homing wisps which seek out mobs and pierce twice.
- Crafted at the Altar of The Accursed.
Call of The Void (NEW!)
Shoots Void Arrows which travel faster, deal more damage, inflict Voided and shatter into shrapnel after coming into contact with anything. That's a lot of features!

Ender Insignia
✨ Base regeneration delay reduces (40 tick -> 20 ticks).
🔥 Increased delay between amplifier boosts (23 ticks -> 60 ticks).
In other words - regeneration starts earlier, but takes longer to kick off, which is the opposite of what it was previously.
Living Flesh
✨ Increased boost duration by 1s.
✨ No longer weakens players while held.
Nature's Wrath
✨ Improved spirit visuals and sounds.
✨ Increased homing lock-on range (45 blocks + upgrade count
-> 45 blocks + (upgrade count * 1.5)

🔥 Lowered Fiery Spin armor penetration down to 30% (from 50%).

Chorus Dagger

✨ Now provides a 5% passive speed boost while held.
The Beginning and The End (RENAME)
Spirit Daggers have been split into 2 items and renamed to The Beginning and The End. This change was accompanied by a retexture as well.
The only difference is their offhand use - The Beginning increases damage dealt by 1, while The End increases movement speed by 5%. Those might be changed in the future to something oriented around their mechanic (teleportation), but it isn't on my priority list rn.

Tamaris
🐛 Fixed Tamaris being able to try to execute its user.

Copper Elektra Shield (minirework)
Elektra Shield was reworked to embrace its main mechanic - dashing.
✨ Elektra Shield can now hold up to 3 stacks of dashes, which can be triggered one after another.
✨ Added an actionbar UI which shows recharge progress for dashes.
✨ Ccan now zap and destroy Shulker Bullets.
🔥 Reduced dash damage from 6 to 4. Note that it deals electric damage, which naturally has 100% armor penetration.
🔥 Reduced Copper Elektra Shield dash damage radius (2.5 blocks -> 1.8 blocks).
🔥 Reduced chance to charge creepers from 33% to 25%.
🔥 Reduced dash distance (6 ticks of 1.7 blocks -> 5 ticks of 1.2) ((or in other words 10.2 blocks -> 7 blocks)).
Keep in mind that you have 3 possible dashes, meaning the maximum distance is triple the distance of one dash, plus some excess momentum.
🔥 Increased dash recharge time (6.5s -> 7s). Third dash takes twice as long to recharge.
🐛 Fixed the item tooltip saying the dash cooldown is 5 seconds while in reality it was more.
🐛 Fixed the subtitle for zapping enemies with the Copper Elektra Shield being shared with the recharge sound.
Prismatic Punch
✨ Doubled projectile velocity and accelleration.
✨ Now works better against mobs with larger hitboxes.
✨ Multishot Enchant now adds 2 seconds of Prismatic Inferno effect.
🐛 Shots should no longer be able to go through 1 block wide walls.
Dragon's Eye
🐛 No longer pacifies Endermites (therefore no longer preventing them from angering Endermen and fixing farms).
Dragonblade

Frigid Harvester
🐛 Fixed Frigid Harvester being able to gain extra damage only once.
This change was due to an unmentioned change in Harvester's NBT format. However, the code used for increasing its damage was still trying to read data from the old format. ✨ Reworked how abilities work. Rather than being force unlocked at certain damage treshold, they are now unlockable after defeating certain mobs after getting enough damage. NEW ABILITIES: Frost Barrier - unlocked after 11 damage + killing an Iron Golem; get 2 Hearts of Absorption and 20% damage reduction for 7 seconds whenever you kill a mob. Arctic Wind - unlocked after 14 damage + killing 10 Strays; super cold aura slows down all nearby mobs/players by 20% Cryonics - unlocked at 19 damage and killing the Ender Dragon; using a Totem of Undying puts the player in a block of ice, causing them to be completely invulnerable for the next 8 seconds while providing intense life regeneration and huge absorption bonus. This effect has a 4 minute cooldown.
REWORKED ABILITIES: Chill - renamed to Piercing Cold, no longer scales with levels; chance to weaken an enemy after an attack, decreasing their damage and defense; now unlocked after reaching 11 damage + killing 3 Witches Frostburn - no longer scales with levels; increased trigger chance; now unlocked after 8 damage and killing 3 Blazes Anima Conduit - slightly reduced healing and feed amounts; now unlocked at 19 damage and killing the Wither ✨ Abilities are tied to an item, not the player.
✨ Reduced scaling 'harshness' by about 50%. This means that getting max Harvester is even easier now.
🔥 Maximum damage one can acquire has been reduced from 22 to 19
Mobs
Ender Dragon
✨ Dragon's defense drops to 0 during the final hit phase.
✨ Revamped spawn animation.
Now has a bootleg screenshake effect. It can be disabled in the config as some might find it nauseating.
🔥 Decreased Dragon's defense and toughness from 10 and 5 to 7 and 2 respectively
🎶 Ender Dragon now once again plays its boss music. It was also changed to The Deviant's Unobstructed Light ~ Kingdom of Nothingness from Touhou 19.

Empress of Light
🎶 Empress of Light now has a musical theme accompanying the battle! It is one of my favorite modded Terraria tracks - Shining Kaleidoscope ~ Prismatic Radiance by PinpinNeon (from Calamity Infernum). Only present with the Music Addon!!!
✨ Smoothened out Empress' wing animation. Also changed the wing model away from using particles to do the job to item displays. This should fix a lot of client-sided lag problems.
🐛 Fixed Empress being summonable in Peaceful mode.
🐛 Fixed a bug allowing 2 or more Empresses to spawn.
🐛 Fixed summoning Empress consuming ALL Pixie Dust instead of only 1.

For context - Phantoms in the Overworld spawn larger and stronger the longer you stay awake for.
🐛 Fixed Phantoms' defense (given through the insomnia mechanic) being UNCAPPED. Also nerfed the armor amount to being equal to half the size value (from being equal to 100% of the size value).
