The Snowfield
Most of the Frostpale is dominated by the Snowfield, a barren wasteland with sparse dead trees and piles of Stone and Packed Ice. Goats, Wolves, and Polar Bears are the only animals you will find here.

Glacial Runoffs
Instead of Rivers, huge Glaciers carve through the terrain, freezing not only the surface but also the water below into Ice, then ending abruptly where they meet the ocean.

Ice Fields
Oceans are not exempt from the freezing temperatures, though some fragments of warmer biomes still cling to life on tiny islands floating amongst the icebergs.

Hail Mountains
Jagged mountain ranges are more common in the Frostpale, but are covered in dangerous Powdered Snow.

Frozen Terrain
Rather than Stone and Deepslate, the Frostpale's terrain is made of Packed Ice and Blue Ice. It can be collected with any pickaxe, but developing Stone Tools may be more challenging in this world.

Underground Deserts
Cave biomes like the Underground Desert provide once-common resources like Sand, and are the only places to find such blocks.

Caves & Ores
Since Caves are now made of various Ice blocks, Ore textures have been changed to better fit in this new environment, and the heights they generate at may differ as well.

Ice Dungeons
Underground Dungeons contain crucial items for progression, including one of the only places to get renewable seeds, and the mysterious Ancient Ice block.

Lumber Camps
Illagers have taken up residence in the Frostpale and carved out a healthy niche. They are responsible for chopping down the trees of the Barren Forest biome.

Frost Villages
Villagers have been able to cling to life in this frozen world, though in smaller numbers and rarer Frost Villages. You'll need to find one to acquire your first Furnace.
