~Crimson Axolotl's Weird Weapons and Stuff~
This mod adds a variety of items to the game. From small things like a Chakram to (literally) big things like the Dawntaker Sword, coming with its own set of potential to be unlocked by the players, this mod aims to offer an experience both fit to enrich modpacks as well as adding more content by itself. The full scale of the scope can not yet be reached, due to the experimental nature of the project and my lacking experience. I highly recommend reading the added Introduction as it assists in getting into the mod, due to the lack of a guidebook or similar item in the game.
Excerpts of Content added by the mod:
Chakram: A melee weapon in the shape of a circle, offering higher attack-speed over the normal sword. Though based on the actual chakram weapon in shape and name, you'll find the ability to throw the weapon to tbe missing, due to me not knowing how to do that. Its texture is also quite old and thus subject to updates in the future.
Arcane Circleblade: A larger, stronger relative to the chakram, the arcane circleblade is one of the mods main-features (to me anyways). To be frank, I never expected the leap in quality I made from my first two weapons (Chakram and Dualblade Sword) compared to this one. But this weapon is one of the prime movers behind me making this mod and I do hope to be able to add an interesting secondary ability to this weapon.
Wake Funeral: An odd looking longsword, which can be upgraded with the empowering upgrade smithing template (acquired by combining a netherite upgrade smithing template with 8 potentiated fool's gold) and the new Brute Icon, which can be crafted by combining a battered icon, found in bastion treasure rooms with purified shards, acquired form processing echoshards in the sol furnace. It is one of the weapons that this way gains a special ability, activated by holding the trigger key for a short time and then releasing the key. For two seconds after the cooldown starts, the wielder's strikes with this weapon are reinforced with a time-delayed explosion.
The Dawntaker: A large and brutish looking weapon, this blade boasts strength and like the Wake Funeral, the ability to be upgraded. By using a totem of undying and empowering upgrade smithing template in the smithing table, this weapon gains the Rising Shine attribute, which when triggered, equips the user with a custom armour set. This set boasts remarkable performance but cannot be taken off by hand or death, for it shall vanish into nothingness if its bearer perishes. The armour can only be equipped if the armour slots of the user are all free. Also, dropping the weapon with the armour will dissolve the latter (Note: Some of the aspects behind this armour set and how it ties into the Wake Funeral and Dawntaker are inspired by the Diansu Prime Mod (not public) made by AmyMialee, Hellion Games and Diansu).
Crimson Axolotl Plush: Your's truly
Glimpse of the eerily familiar/Glimpse of Reality: Creative only items used to quickly switch into the Eerily familiar and back
Enchantments:
- Dash: Propells the user over a ~8 block distance when triggered, doesnt work with elytras equipped or when flying like with an elytra
- Double Jump: Under the same restraints as Dash, it propels the user upwards if in the air and if not on cooldown.
- Iceclaim: Applies the same effect as powdered snow to the target, mutually exclusive with fire aspect
- Lightning: Strikes a lighting at the target, mutually exclusive with Touch of Demise and Sharpness
- Touch of demise: Deals magic damage to the target if not on cooldown, mutually exlusive with lightning and sharpness
Mobs:
- Copper Golemite: A small copper creature, loosely inspired by the copper golem, working as a weak, but cheap golem (Entity WIP). Can be build or found in golem forges.
- Copper Golem: A large, towering construct made of copper and a pumpkin, it just like its iron brethren strides in large steps, seeking hostile entities to fight, but be mindful of its reduced performance compared to the iron golem (Entity WIP). Can be build or found in golem forges. The corrupted version can be found in golem forges exclusive to stalagmite caves or created by right clicking a copper-golem with the Frenzy Command Slate.
This is my first ever mod project, so I don't expect everything to run perfectly, but I'll do what I can. Thank you for reading through this and perhaps trying my mod.
