Changes
FlickView 3.6.0
Clearer spin controls, more reliable rotation input, and consistent features across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt.
Added
- A Spin Mode selector with Camera + Character and Character Only options.
- Expanded release coverage across supported game versions.
Changed
- Updated loader builds to share the same rotation controls and settings behavior.
- Repeated smooth yaw presses now replace the unfinished turn from the current view instead of building a queue.
- Switching Spin Mode keeps continuous spin active. Camera + Character aligns the camera immediately.
- Saved speed changes update active smooth rotation without a position jump.
- The default Settings key is now F6. Existing saved keybindings are preserved.
- Status messages now use [FlickView] Enabled and [FlickView] Disabled.
- Clearer settings labels, tooltips, and Creator Links.
- Settings now always display Adjust your view with precision. beneath the title.
- Dedicated packages and loader metadata for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, and Quilt. The Quilt build does not require Fabric API or QSL.
Fixed
- Holding an action key could trigger additional actions through key repeat.
- Repeated yaw presses could leave unwanted rotation queued after the input ended.
- Hand offsets and inconsistent Character Only spin when starting from the front perspective.
- Missed input when closing Settings and returning to gameplay.
- Rapid pitch toggles, returning from a zero pitch offset, and rotation counter precision.
- Reset could leave spin or unfinished turns running, including when settings already matched the defaults.
- Stale rotation and input after losing focus or changing players or worlds.
- Automatic crouching could interfere with the player's own crouch input.
- Recovery from invalid configuration values.
Removed
- The Server Safety setting and its automatic restriction on continuous spin in multiplayer.
Notes
- I toggles continuous spin. Press I again to stop it.
- A smooth yaw turn may finish after the key is released. A new Y press replaces its remaining movement.
- Pressing Y during continuous spin adds a temporary camera turn while spin remains active.
- Fabric requires Fabric API. Quilt does not require Fabric API or QSL.
- Existing settings remain supported. Install only one FlickView JAR for your chosen loader.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
