Geode Mania adds 2 whole new dimensions that revolve around Geodes and Sculk, as well as a few quality of life changes.
Craft gear made of Copper, Amethyst, and a new type of metal - Echonium - as you use weapons with a new attacking type: Echo Damage!
Emit a sonic blast that deals half your weapon's melee damage, or boost it higher (by up to 12 points with a new enchantment, Amplify, and wield a Megaphone and other fancy gear for more damage boosting) for a maximized sound blast! You can also enchant these sound weapons with Bass Boost for a wider sound radius, or Treble to launch sound blasts three times as often! (Amplify and Treble are incompatible with each other through normal enchanting...)
Additionally, some echo weapons are more than just looks and power. The rarely sought-after Echo Scythe can also induce enemies with Weakness, Slowness, and/or Wither with its Echo Attack. And the Echo Dagger - crafted with an Echo Shard, an Echonium Ingot, and an Echo Rod (which is a light-blue-tinged Copper Rod coated with Echonium Powder on each end) - can slash, then duplicate 2 items that resonate together, such as a Gold Ingot and Netherrack to make 2 Nether Gold Ore, a Carrot and a Gold Ingot to make 2 Golden Carrots, or even Holystone and a Zanite Gem to make 2 Zanite Ores!
Use Copper as material to generate powerful electrical attacks with the new Lightning Charge item, or craft it into gear. You can also enchant your armor with Electrified; the more metallically conductive the armor is, the more effective Electrified is on the armor! Some armor types can't be enchanted with (or gain no benefit from) being enchanted with Electrified, however.
Copper has more uses than just tools and armor, though. Copper Sifters let you pan and dredge up items in all kinds of water sources for materials and occasional fish and denizens of the deep caves. Copper Tablets let you store enchantments through the process of Smithing Amethyst, Copper, or Echo Tools, then using a new item - the Sculk Infuser - to combine them on just about anything you can imagine... and infusing Efficiency V twice on something like, say, a pickaxe, will bump it to Efficiency VI, allowing you to branch off with what kind of functionality you want with your tool! And if regular Copper isn't cutting it for you, you can wait for it to oxidize, then craft gear with that to make it tougher but slower and/or less enchantable.
To make the Infuser work though, you'll need Echo Shards, Echonium, and Sculk to make Sculk Flasks for storing and transferring XP as fuel. You can technically find all of these items in an Ancient City... but they're somewhat easier to come by in the Geode Dimensions! (Still non-renewable, though.) Search throughout the unnatural, light-blue and alien-like, sliced-down-vertically Edoegs for Echolite Powder and Echo Shards, and head to the Corrupt Geode for the Sculk you're seeking after.
This mod also adds the 1.21.1 recipes for Bundles and Saddles, along with the old Bedrock recipe of 9 String to Cobweb and vice-versa, along with any color of wool back into 4 String -- and if you're crafting the former it's much easier to carry Copper Tablets around since all Copper Tablets stack up to 64. But you can also craft a Book Pouch using 2 Leather, 2 Books, 2 String, and 3 (Chiseled or not) Bookshelves, to store not only books & tablets, but also paper, maps, ink sacs, Enchanted Books, Tomes, and much more! Perfect for exploration and delving into mineshafts.
Speaking of mineshafts, they can also generate in the first Geode Dimension, and you can also craft new food items to munch on and keep your strength up and toughen up like the hard-bodied underground miner you were meant to be. Craft Bread and Steak together to make a Steak Burger! (What a novel concept!) You can also craft Honey with a Cooked Porkchop to make Honey-Glazed Pork, break Cooked Chicken into Chicken Nuggets then craft 3 of them with a Honey Bottle to dip them in honey for tastier food options that can also prevent Poison, and craft a Miner's Snack Bar fit for a trail mix lover using a leaf-like item for the wrapper, 2 Seeds, and Caramel, which gives you a nutritious and helpful 1-to-2 of 5 temporary status buffs. If that's not enough, Chorus Chickens and Scigs can also provide their own meaty food sources, and you can also craft the ultimate fast food meal using a pouch of 8 Potato Fries (5 per Baked Potato) and a single Steak Burger, crammed together in a single bowl, to make you extra tanky but guaranteed to be full for an entire mining session!
Tomes can be crafted similar to Book & Quills, using an Enchanted Book, Echo Quill (which also drops from Chorus Chickens), and Glow Ink Sac, which can then be Gemscribed into either a Spell Tome or Enchanted Book of nearly any enchantment you want (Vanilla/Geode Mania enchants only) using the right type (and amount) of gems, an item made of ingots (again, Vanilla/Geode Mania only) for sacrifice that can receive the enchantment, and 8 Catalysts that determine the enchantment type that can be enchanted on the sacrifice item at the gems' power levels.
Finally, you can find special Vessels in the Amethyst Scarlet biome, which can either be used to store a Weather Type using 4 Buckets and 4 projectile-type items centered around a specific element to be placed upon a Weather Wand, or be used as the core for constructing a special type of custom reactor...
There's also several references to other memes and media, one of them including ExtraUtilities (especially with the Reversal Sigil and how you have to craft the Portal to the Corrupt Geode), along with a slew of new weapons and gear I haven't even mentioned here.
In short, Geode Mania is a shiny mod with pretty gems, new ore types, new mobs, and even new gear and approaches to multiple situations - it's got something for everyone...
...and was made entirely in MCreator!
Note 1: If you want a challenge to lock yourself to the Geode Dimension (which is still entirely possible to complete), type /geodestartchallenge upon entering the world for the first time. You'll have to gather 8 specific items and bring them to a home block, but you get a nifty XP reward multiplier for every minecraft day you've survived!
Note 2: This mod is only compatible with Forge version 47.3.10
Note 3: If running this in a 1.20.1 Forge server, it's recommended to also run the mod DSBG, or "Detected Setblock Be Gone," due to the frequency of incomplete structures that may generate in the Geode Dimension due to chunks not loading properly, which can be found here.
