NEW:
- Indirect splash particles (I have no idea what else to call them) are now able to spawn when a high-velocity entity moves across the surface of the water without touching it. Like most other particles, this can be toggled in the configuration.
CHANGED:
- Mist particles (the somewhat-transparent ones that come from splashes) now spread out more.
finally, something new!
NEW:
- Gameplay-affecting features (disabled by default) can be enabled to further enhance the immersion provided by this mod while still being usable on vanilla servers! Currently, the only toggle available is one that allows you to disable elytra usage when you are "wet" (a good indicator for when you are wet is the presence of dripping particles appearing from your player)
CURRENT ISSUES:
- With the new toggle enabled, elytra use seems to be disabled a tick AFTER it begins, rarely allowing for a single tick of flight. This doesn't cause much of an issue, but sometimes fall damage can sometimes be negated if you spam the space bar fast enough during a fall. It's very inconsistent though and not something you would want to do in a hardcore world, so again, it's not much of an issue.
NEW:
- When a player is submerged in water, their screen will be tinted with a subtle overlay and will then "dry out" very quickly after the player exits the water.
- The configuration menu has been expanded with a new tab for toggling the visibility of each particle and the new overlay.
CURRENT ISSUES:
- If updating from a previous version, the configuration may break. I have no idea why. I recommend checking the configuration after updating to make sure nothing is broken.
NEW:
- A configuration screen has been added (along with a bunch of new mod dependencies, sorry!), allowing the player to change the radius in which rain ripple particles will spawn. More settings will be added over time.
CHANGED:
- Dripping particles now become less frequent over time on an entity as it "dries off".
FIXED:
- All entities (including items!) will now create splashes when falling into water and dripping particles when exiting.
NEW:
- When a player jumps into water, 8 to 32 splash particles will appear at their location depending on how fast they fell. Faster falls will also launch the splash particles higher. When these particles fall back into the water, a ripple particle is created on the surface of the water.
- When it is raining, ripple particles will appear on any nearby surface water block.
- When a player exits a body of water, dripping particles will appear from that player until 10 seconds have passed.
CURRENT ISSUES:
- Only player entities will create splashes and dripping particles.
- There is no configuration.
