A Quake3 mod for Minecraft!
Description
This mod aims to recreate the classic Quake 3 experience in Minecraft, complete with all the weapons, mechanics and even maps!
Features
- All the Quake 3 weapons have been implemented.
- Players can craft ammo for the weapons.
- Players can craft ammo for some of the weapons using the Plasma Inducer.
- EMI mod is highly recommended to see the Plasma Inducer crafting recipes.
- Players can replenish ammo by walking into Ammo Box pickups.
- Players can acquire weapons by walking into Weapon pickups.
- A Quake3 dimension is added where people can play on deathmatch arenas.
- Players can define arenas and spawnpoints for them using the Arena Tool.
- Players can leave/join an arena using the MCQuake3 Player Settings menu.
- Players can also enable custom voices for taking damage / jumping / etc in this menu.
- A Quake3-like HUD is displayed when playing on an arena.
- Players can craft jumppads and portals.
- Players can replenish health by walking into Health pickups.
- Players can replenish their energy shield by walking into Energy Shield pickups.
- Haste, Invisibility and the mighty Quad Damage have been implemented.
- 4 music tracks from Xonotic, a free Quake-like arena shooter.
Roadmap
- More Quake3 HUD elements need to be added, such as a proper scoreboard.
- Gamemodes are an integral part of Quake 3, so (some of) these will be implemented afterwards. On top of the existing deathmatch, the aim is to implement team deatmatch and capture the flag.
- Quake-like blocks, items and entities will then be next. Gothic-looking walls, player models or armor trims and others.
