Origins

Phoenix

Spoiler

Heavily inspired by the Adapted Origins Phoenix, I split it into two different origins to fix some of the bugs present with health and added some additional downsides.

Phoenix True Form Powers

Positive

  • Rebirth: Revert to your rebirth form upon death.
  • Radiant Call: Fully heals every player and mob within a 12 block radius every two minutes. Damages undead.
  • Helios Blessing: When under direct sunlight, you receive a speed boost on land and in the air.
  • Flight: You have wings.
  • Ascent: Launch yourself into the air.
  • Fireball: Launch a bouncing fireball which explodes on contact with an enemy. Lights all nearby enemies on fire and knocks them back.
  • Taste for Magic: While holding an enchanted book in your offhand, gain food over time. Increased gain while crouching and standing still.
  • Glittering: You have a natural affinity for gold. You find more when killing mobs.
  • Fire Immunity: You're immune to lava and fire damage.

Neutral

  • Golden Diet: You can only eat foods infused with gold. They fill you more.
  • Fiery Death: Explode into a shower of flames on death, lighting the nearby area on fire.
  • Small Body: You're slightly smaller than your average Steve.

Negative

  • Small Health: You have seven hearts.
  • More Kinetic Damage: You take more damage from falling and flying into blocks.
  • Water Weakness: Standing in water slows you.
  • Water Vulnerability: Standing in water hurts you, as does rain.

Phoenix Rebirth Form Powers

Positive

  • Rejuvenation: Be reborn in your True Form after enough time in the sun and/or roosting.
  • Roost: While sneaking and not moving, you will gain progress towards Rejuvenating, regardless of there being sunlight or not.
  • Gliding: You're just a little chick, you can jump higher and fall like a feather.
  • Sunlight: While standing in the sun you gain progress toward Rejuvenating. Standing in Rain or Water will leech this progress.
  • Helios Blessing: When under direct sunlight, you receive a speed boost on land and in the air.
  • Taste for Magic: While holding an enchanted book in your offhand, gain food over time. Increased gain while crouching and standing still.
  • Glittering: You have a natural affinity for gold. You find more when killing mobs.
  • Fire Immunity: You're immune to lava and fire damage.

Neutral

  • Tiny Body: You're only 1 block tall. Quite tiny, really.

Negative

  • Tiny Health: You have five hearts.

Broodmother

Spoiler

Heavily inspired by the Origins++ Broodmother, I have put more emphasis on her ability to summon and use spiders to her advantage. You still summon three little spider minions to help you, but now they attack the enemies that hit you, or that you hit. Additionally, activating the "Come Children!" power again will re-summon them at your position, effectively allowing you to always have some help. Other spiders in the world will also come to your aid.

Positive

  • Climb: You are able to climb blocks [Toggleable].
  • Feed: Feed on enemies trapped in your web by hitting them with an empty hand.
  • Entrapment: Trap all nearby foes in web for a short time.
  • Poison Immunity: You are immune to poison.
  • Dripping Venom: You poison enemies you hit.
  • Spider Kinship: You and all nearby players become friends of the spiders, they will come to your aid.
  • Come Children!: You have three children who will help you fight. They're not the smartest bunch, but you love them anyway.
  • Web Shot:fire webs at the target. (This aggros your children to the hit monster.)
  • Master of Webs: You navigate cobweb perfectly, and are able to climb in them. When you hit an enemy, they get stuck in cobweb for a while. Non-arthropods stuck in cobweb will be sensed by you. You are able to craft cobweb from string.
  • Spiders Pour Forth: Upon your death, your arachnid children pour from your body, restoring some of your health and joining your legion.

Neutral

  • Homely Mineshaft: You spawn in a Mineshaft.

Negative

  • Pierce Weakness: Arrows are more easily able to pierce your carapace, doing more damage.
  • Arthropod: Take extra damage from Bane of Arthropods enchanted weapons. (Hidden)
  • Too Many Legs: You deal significantly less damage with melee weapons.
  • No Shield: You cannot use a shield.

Dullahan

Spoiler

The Dullahan is forked from Adapted Origins. I put heavier emphasis on the ability to summon your steed, with a much lower cooldown, and made a few quality of life tweaks like binding chain slowing hit enemies, occasionally getting lanterns back when consuming soul lanterns, and buffing the starting kit.

Positive

  • Loose Bones: Chance to drop Bones when Damaged.
  • Reaper's Requiem: Standing close to a soul campfire will channel souls into your body, satiating your hunger.
  • Cower, Run: You have a terrifying presence. Nearby entities become afflicted with blindness and weakness.
  • Binding Chain: You can impale a target with a barbed chain, slowing them and inflicting wither.
  • Death's Arsenal: You start with items you gathered on your hunts as a rider of the night.
  • The Pact Part 1: Your contract to hunt souls empowers you under the light of the moon.
  • Nightmare Steed: You can summon your trusty steed whenever you desire.
  • Spectre's Dismay: Shoot an explosive wither skull at your prey.

Neutral

  • Soul Snare: You cannot artificially create soul lanterns. Instead, you will ensnare the souls of those you kill within a lantern you are carrying in your offhand. -Soul Devourer: Food does not satiate your wretched form. Instead, the Dullahan feeds on the souls of their victims captured in soul lanterns.

Negative

  • The Pact Part 2: The second part of your contract stipulates; During the day you are slowed and your thirst for souls is insatiable.
  • Cursed: Being attack with any weapon imbued with a curse of vanishing will banish you, ending your hunt.
  • You are undead.

Deathsworn

Spoiler

Forked from the Origins++ deathsworn, I've completely overhauled the class. Follow the advancement tree to progress! This is a summon heavy class, putting emphasis on combat through minions, you must kill hostile mobs in the world yourself to summon them. Most minions summoned will remove a number of your maximum hearts, but you start with more than normal.

Positive

  • SOUL Energy: You use SOUL energy for your rituals, absorb SOUL from enemies you slay.
  • Heart Stopping: Most hostile mobs you slay drop petrified hearts, containing their vital data. Summon these mobs to fight for you using SOUL.
  • Execute Order: Single out a mob for all of your minions to target.
  • Desummon: Shift + Left-Click a minion to turn it back into a Petrified Heart. <Does not apply to temporary minions>
  • Accursed Nights: Your SOUL bar slowly regenerates at night.
  • Submit!: You can fire a ray of dark energy at will to deal light magic damage and set your minions on the targeted mob.

Neutral

Negative

  • Photoallergic: Burn in daylight when not invisible.
  • Blood Cost: Every minion summoned costs you maximum hearts.
  • Backline: You deal much less damage in melee.
  • Stains of the Occult: Villagers refuse to trade with you.
