Fixes and map-label controls, shaped by the release server's feedback.

• Fixed: a held drawing tool machine-gunned buttons. Holding the left mouse button and moving the cursor re-fired whatever was under it many times a second, with the click sound stuttering along. A drag is now a drag: it no longer falls through to a click, so buttons fire once and sliders drag smoothly.
• Turn a label, drop its shadow. Territory names and pen inscriptions can be spun to any angle, and their shadow turned off, from the mark's own dialog. Routes get the shadow control too — for them it hides the dark ribbon behind the name, leaving it as bare ink along the path.
• Fixed: the zone radius did nothing on territories. A territory's place-name title only fired when you stood on the claim, ignoring the radius slider. The radius now works: the title announces the place as you come within that distance of its edge, not only once you are inside it.
• New: how long a place name holds. A setting under Place names sets how many seconds a zone title stays on screen before it fades.
• New: resize the atlas in your hands. A setting under The map scales the held book, and two rebindable keys (unbound by default) enlarge and shrink it on the fly.
• Fixed: the dialog buttons could be cut off. At a high GUI scale the marker dialog ran off the bottom of the screen and "Готово" / "Изменить границы" went with it. The bottom row now stays on screen instead of being pushed off.
• The global zone radius left the settings. It only duplicated the radius each named mark already carries and set them apart, so it is gone — the radius lives on the mark, where you set it. Marks with no radius of their own use the usual 32 blocks.
• New: a zone-title cooldown. A setting under Place names can hold the same place from announcing itself again for a while, so a title no longer flickers when you step across its edge and back. Off by default — titles appear at once, as before; raise it to add the delay.

Reign RP has opened, and marks are now dated in the server's own reckoning.

• Cycles, unias and years. A cycle is one setting and rising of the sun, two real hours; twelve of them make a unia, an elven day; thirty unias make a year, an elven month. A mark drawn on 15 September 2026 at 22:00 now reads Cycle 12 of Unia 15, Year 226. The reckoning starts from the expedition, 24 August 2026, which is the 24th unia of year 225, and runs backwards as well as forwards: a mark from July 2026 is dated in year 224.
• The date is worked out, never counted. Every mark already recorded the real moment it was drawn, so its cycle is derived from that instead of from a running tally. Nothing is stored, nothing drifts, and a mark written on another player's machine in another timezone is dated exactly as its author saw it. Cycles are counted on the Moscow clock the server keeps, so one mark reads the same to everyone.
• Old marks came across on their own. Every mark drawn before this update carries its real timestamp, and so was already dated in the new reckoning the moment the update was installed. There is no migration to run and nothing to convert.
• Marks with no timestamp say so. A handful of the oldest marks – graves dug before the atlas started dating them, and marks imported from Antique Atlas – only ever recorded a world day, which says how long the world has been running rather than when anyone was looking at it. Rather than invent a cycle for them, they read Drawn before the expedition.
• The real date and time follows in ((brackets)). It now carries the time as well as the date, read on the Moscow clock, so it lines up with the cycle beside it.
• Three new settings, under Marks. Reckoning switches between the server's cycles and the world's plain day count, which is what the atlas did before; the cycles are the default. Show the in-world date and Show the real date turn either half of a stamp off on its own. Each mark still has its own dating switch, as before.

• Punchy! compatibility: with Punchy installed, pressing the atlas key showed nothing – Punchy replaces the vanilla first-person hands with its own and the held atlas never reached the frame. The atlas now asks Punchy to hand the frame back to the vanilla renderer while it is out, using Punchy's own per-hand blacklist mechanism, so both the one-handed and the two-handed poses work. Punchy's hands return the moment the atlas is put away. Fixes issue #1, reported by sbullet.

The settings have been rebuilt to match the Absolute Cinema Camera screens.

• With Cloth Config installed: one long list with the categories down the side, a search box that looks across all of them, a reset on every row, and the world left visible behind the list instead of a solid backdrop.
• Without it: a new built-in screen replaces the old fixed grid of buttons – the same single scrolling list under the same headers, with a tooltip on every row. It now carries every option, including the terrain heights and zoom limits that used to need Cloth.
• The options are grouped the same way on both: The map, Marks, Place names, Terrain and biomes.
• The world behind the settings stays sharp: the vanilla menu blur is skipped for this one screen, whatever the blur option is set to. Every other screen keeps it.

First update shaped by player feedback – thank you for it, keep it coming.

• New setting: Steady the held atlas. With it on, the book in your hands no longer bobs in step with you and holds level while you walk, so it can actually be read on the move. Off by default – turn it on in the mod settings.
• The fallback settings screen (shown when Cloth Config is not installed) no longer draws its last row of options underneath the Reset and Done buttons.

Housekeeping only – nothing about the mod behaves differently, and saved atlases are untouched.

• The code has moved out of the folk.sisby package namespace, which belongs to Sisby folk, and into glam.ardor. The mod id and the ids of every landmark component are unchanged, so marks, territories, routes and inscriptions all load exactly as before.
• The licence inside the jar is named LICENSE_roleplayers-atlas again, instead of the mangled name Gradle had been giving it.

First release of Roleplayer's Atlas — a fork of Antique Atlas 4, ported to 1.21.8 and built out for roleplay servers. Everything is client-side; the server needs no mod.

Drawing on the map

• Territories — paint an area chunk by chunk and name it; the name is written across the land, and entering the area can announce it on screen.
• Routes — click out a path, drawn as a curving dashed track with its name written along the curve, optionally reporting its length.
• Quill inscriptions — free text placed anywhere, with no icon.
• Marker layers — your own layers with names and colours, filtered by tabs; deaths get one automatically.
• Notes and search — any mark can carry a note, searchable from the magnifier above the tabs.
• 53 marker icons, each with a recolourable accent layer.

Marks as records

• Dating — every mark records the day it was drawn, taken from the world's game time rather than its time of day, so a frozen or per-player day cycle can't skew it. Death markers were migrated onto the same counter.
• Cartographer's seal — exported scrolls carry your name and the date.
• Hearsay — marks imported from someone else's signed scroll arrive faint, filed into a layer named after their author, captioned with who said so and when.
• Verification — walking to a hearsay mark firms it up and records the day you saw it for yourself.

Sharing

• Map scrolls — export terrain and any chosen markers, inscriptions, territories and routes into an .atlas file and hand it to another player; import with per-category and per-object selection.

Getting around

• Guide arrows — track any mark for an arrow and a distance from your position; it drops itself and chimes on arrival.
• The hearth — your respawn point marked automatically, with its own button beside the player button, tracked and restyled like any other mark but never deleted, layered or exported.

Saving pictures

• Map snapshots — save the current view or the whole explored map, stitched from real in-game renders so it matches the screen pixel for pixel. Optionally framed like a hung item frame and signed with your name and the date.

Interface

• The atlas shrinks into your free hand when you hold an item, with the open and close animation preserved.
• Sounds for painting, drawing routes, tracking, arriving, layer tabs, search and export.
• Settings screen via Mod Menu — searchable with a per-option reset where Cloth Config is installed, plain but complete where it isn't.
