The "The One that was So Big that it Skipped a whole Version Number and Entered Beta... + Treevamped" Update
NOW REQUIRES LITHOSTITCHED
Added the following new Surface Biomes;
- Beech Forest - A warmer alternative of the Birch Forest featuring the Beech Wood
- Old Growth Beech Forest - The Old Growth version of the latter
- Coniferous Forest - A colder variant of the regular Forest, that often transitions into Taigas
- Faded Dark Forest - A Dark Forest/Pale Garden transitionary biome
- Maple Grove - A colder alternative of the Cherry Grove featuring the Maple Wood
- Marsh - A Swamp transitionary biome
- Mushroom Shore - Surrounds Mushroom Fields, has smaller Huge Mushroom features than mainland
- Old Growth Forest - The Forest with larger trees
- Rainforest - Replaces Bamboo Jungles, reimagines the Beta Rainforest biome (Bamboo Jungle and Jungles were merged into one)
- Snowy Old Growth Pine Taiga - A Snowy version of the Vanilla biome
- Snowy Old Growth Spruce Taiga - A Snowy version of the Vanilla biome
- Sparse Dark Forest - A Dark Forest transitionary biome
- Tundra - A colder variant of the Plains, that often transitions into Snow Plains
- Thicket - Plains are the most dominant biome in the game, so I split them up into 3 variations; The Thicketoccurs in areas of low weirdness and features more trees and vegetation than normal, but still not as much as a forest
- Rocky Hills - Rocky Hills have less vegetation and have a much more stony surface
Added the following new River Biomes;
- Rivers - Reworked to blend in more naturally when generating above sea level, emulates Plains
- Warm River - Oasis-like
- Lukewarm River - Emulates Rainforests
- Cold River - Emulates Tundras
Added the following new Cave Biomes (the first four aren't true biomes, just extensions of surface biomes);
-
Dirty Caves - Features Dirt, Rooted Dirt, Hanging Roots and some tall grass/ferns, found under most temperate forests
-
Frozen Caves - Frozen over with an Icy Ceiling and a mix of a Sow and Ice covered floor, under Snowy biomes
-
Arid Caves - Sandstone overhead and Sand below, with the odd Dead Bush or Dry Grass, under Desert biomes (red version for Mesas)
-
Mushroom Caves - Mycelium exists not only on the surface, the mushrooms grow underground too, under Mushroom Islands
-
Deep Dark Perimeter - With the taller terrain, the Deep Dark became too common. The Deep Dark Perimeter is a new Cave Biome that acts as a boundary to the true Deep Dark, with a low amount of sculk that gradually increases the deeper you go. Watch out though, as hostile mobs can still spawn here. Be careful to not set the Shriekers off! Getting to the Ancient Cities to plunder their powerful loot should provide more of a challenge now
-
Caverns - Found below -32 globally (only Deep Dark biomes can overwrite it), features Lava Deltas, Magma Blocks and a great place to mine Redstone
-
Tweaked World Gen noise values slightly
-
Made an improvement on the titular Flooded Caves issue by changing aquifer values
-
Added Cracked, Chiseled and Mossy versions for the Andesite, Diorite and Granite bricks
-
Added Mossy versions for the cobbled Andesite, Diorite and Granite blocks
-
Added Cobbled Tuff (which references the original Tuff texture before being implemented), and the latter block variants for it to match the other alternate stones that it didn't already have. Tuff is now the cold climate block, Diorite is the frozen climate block
-
Changed the Alternate Stone ore features to blobs, making them replace much more stone in their respective biomes
-
Added Ancient Tree structures for Maple and Beech
-
Touched up Dungeons and gave them climate variants
-
Changed Canyons (ravines) to be much bigger and found more common near the bottom of the world
-
Changed Cave Carvers to be more common and generate up to y=256
-
Retextured Mud and Muddy Roots
-
Spaced out Villages and Ocean Monuments more
-
Added Hydrothermal vents to Deep Oceans, which have some Magma Blocks to help the player out with catching their breath. May contain some minerals under those Magma Blocks!
-
Added Mega Mushrooms to the Mushroom Islands
-
Smooth Sandstone replaces Sandstone in the world, and only drops itself when Silk Touched, dropping regular Sandstone otherwise
-
Added a Painting dedicated to the mod
-
Also includes Treevamped's Painting and Music Disc
Known incompatibilities
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
