What's new?
High framerates and astronomical altitudes
[+] Ad Astra
Have you ever wanted to leave this terrible planet? This is the mod for you! Escape your problems on earth, and live without oxygen on mars instead.
[+] Some performance mods.
There are some pretty small mods, but hey, performance is performance baby.
More info
This release is delayed because I wanted to get Ad Astra working on my server before releasing it. I am pleased to announce that Ad Astra is completely functional, so hop on in! The server's IP is pre-loaded into the pack by default (play.automationmc.net), and you can chat about it on the discord!
Anyways, it's getting late. See you next update!
What's new?
Speed ******* do you speak it?!
[+] A load of performance mods
That's it. I can't be bothered to list them, it's late okay? This update only has to happen because Ad Astra wasn't working properly :(.
[-] My dignity
This was a very annoying update
I'm off to bed lol, I'll see you in another hopefully less sloppy update.
What's new?
High framerates and altitudes baby
[+] Pluto, Canary, and Saturn
These are a collection of memory mods that should help with networking, CPU usage and memory usage. Untested so that's why I'm making this alpha, not a release.
[+] Ad Astra
Allows you to fly to the stars and land on other planets! It's a really fun mod.
[-] Friends and Foes
This mod had a bizarre and obscure bug that crashed your game when a turret tried to kill one of these mobs... I don't know either.
More stuffs
The server is running pretty well, so hop on in! It's loaded into the pack by default. The server receives updates at around the same time so hop on in!
Anyways, it's getting late. See you next update!
What's new?
Not much, how 'bout you?
[+] Simple Voice Chat
Ever wanted to talk with the broskis proximity style? This is the mod for you!
[-] Roughly Enough Items
It's just a worse version of Just Enough Items. Not hate the developers of REI, but it's not for me.
[+] Just Enough Items
The replacement for REI.
More stuffs
The server is running pretty well, so hop on in! It's loaded into the pack by default. The server receives updates at around the same time so hop on in!
Anyways, it's getting late. See you next update!
What's new?
Mainly just release stuff, not super big. This is only a changelog from the last beta, not from V2.
[+] Vivecraft
I think VR in Minecraft Java is really cool but has its drawbacks when replicating such movements over a server. This essentially makes it so that anyone with a VR headset can be seen by everyone else in the game.
[-] Easy Villagers / Easy Piglins
I really love these mods, but they are far too overpowered. You could essentially ignore most of the pack, get an auto trader, and have the most common resources. Not ideal for an automation-focused modpack.
[-] Inventory HUD+
It was an interesting mod, but I just didn't ever get the appeal of it. I was often asked by my friends why they kept seeing their whole inventory with no way to turn it off, and that just isn't something I want people to be having problems with.
Let's talk about the server
I have updated my server to include such mods already, and it's going along well! The server has everything from the likes of RTP, Economy (Essentials X), discord chat link, a cool community, and maybe TPA, but I'll hold it to a vote! Its uptime has already been pretty high, and for the last week, I have been reworking its entire foundations from a server level to make it easier to maintain. I now have full access to the server wherever I go, preventing situations where I can't fix things until I get to my computer.
What's new
Not much, how 'bout you?
[+] Rubidium Extras
Adds extra options to Rubidium, I meant to include it from the start.
[+] Lucent
Has an FPS compromise, but adds excellent proximity lighting when you hold a torch in your hand (like in optifine).
[+] General Updates
I am now using Prism Launcher to update all mods automatically, so you should be up to date!
Fixes
It appears that both Security Craft and Create Confectionery required a newer forge version, which has now been fixed. Sorry!
What's new
Small, incremental bug fixes really. Not much to feast your eyes on... yet.
[+] Mekanism (+ additions)
Adds fun stuff like machinery to the game. I actually don't know a lot about this, but some lovely people from the Discord do so I added it anyway!
[+] SecurityCraft
I forgot to put this in the last pack (I think?), but SecurityCraft is a great mod for keeping bad people out of your house, and for mass surveillance if you're into that sort of thing.
[-] Panorama maker mod
I left it in while making the title screen, now pressing the letter "R" should work properly. Sorry!
Server Announcements
I am currently developing a server based on this modpack! The IP is already in your server list when you download the modpack, so give it a go! It has both mods and plugin support using a hybrid known as arclight and runs on 1.19.2. It is economy focused with support for stuff like grief prevention, tpa, rtp, homes, worldguard, etc. Hop on in if it is for you.
Ending notes
If you would like to see announcements, get something added to the pack, or anything of that regard please check out the Discord! Alrighty well, it's getting late, so I'll see you in either the next release or 3.0 Beta 3!
What's new
This is yet another big boy update
Updated to 1.19.2
- Pretty much everything is the same except Pams (cool mod but didn't really fit so I'm not too concerned)
- It seems stable, but there is a reason why this version is strictly beta
Tweaks / Additions
- Added mechanism; it's a bit unstable with Rubidium so I can't guarantee it will stay.
- Reduced file size; I had an intro video previously, but it was too large so now it's just a panorama.
- I removed Oculus, a forge iris port because it caused crashing and didn't play nicely with CC: Tweaked.
Servers
-
AutomationMC is now up! Hop on in at play.automationmc.net, as of this update it's in testing and will likely be wiped before our full launch, but it's super cool to hop in and have a good time with this mod pack.
-
Do keep in mind that my server may be a bit unstable, I'm testing some pretty experimental hybrids (arclight, if you are curious).
Final Notes
Sorry for the really bad update schedule, I had school but I still should have been on top of it. At least it was when 1.19 was still getting adoption by mod creators, so I have that going for me. Also, I am going to try and focus on the singleplayer aspect as well now, as I neglected that in the last modpack. Of course, you could still play singleplayer, but I want to optimize it the best I can for the best experience this time around as well. I plan on hopefully releasing this modpack at some sort of passable rate in the future, but anyways it's getting late so I will see you in 3.1!
What's new?
oh boy this is a big one
Added mods
Comforts: Adds hammocks, it had really high demand so I added it lol
Quark Oddities: Adds more quark things
Easy Piglins: Automates piglin trading, much like villager trading from Easy Villagers. It basically makes piglins a container, which allows you to use other mods to better automate trading.
Simple Planes: Adds fun little planes. That's all.
Hostile Neural Networks: Adds user-makeable AI into the game. It appears to use some sort of tensor-flow based AI? I am not entirely sure, but it looks really cool and everyone from the Discord really wanted it.
rsinfinitebooster: Adds infinite range / cross dimension support to refined storage.
Fast Leaf Decay: Makes leafs decay faster. Need I say more?
Gravestone Mod: Puts a gravestone where you die. Allow you to get your items back by breaking the grave.
Neat: Adds a health bar above animals. Just QOL.
Refined Storage Addons: Adds more stuff to refined storage; I don't know what exactly, though. People wanted it, so the people go it.
Friend and Foes: Adds mobs that didn't make the mob vote to the game.
PneumaticCraft: Repressurized: Adds Drones, pressure chambers, turrets, all that fun stuff. It looks super cool.
Removed
I removed Chunk Loaders because it kept causing server crashes. You can still chunk load using mods such as refinedstorage, though.
What has changed
hehehe this is a big one
Added
Create Deco: Adds fun create decoration things
Rubidium Dynamic Lights: Does that funny little thing where you can hold a torch and it emits light.
Rubidium Extras: Adds extra stuff to the Sodium port known as Rubidium.
Caelus API: Colytra Dependency
Colytra: QOL mod that allows you to wear an elytra with a chestplate
Create Confectionery: Adds some extra food and stuff to Create Mod. I don't fully understand it, but I didn't have to because some lovely members from the Discord recommended it! I look through every suggestion, so drop one in the Discord if you want a feature added!
Create Plus: Adds some QOL additions to Create Mod
Create Stuff Additions: Adds some cool stuff to Create Mod, like Mopeds and Jetpacks
Flux Networks: A really cool mod that allows you to set up energy networks to store Forge energy. You can use this with Create Crafts & Additions to convert Create Mod energy from mechanical energy, and vice versa.
MrCrayfish's Furniture Mod: Adds Furniture. Literally that's it.
Oh The Biomes You'll Go: Adds a load of new Biomes.
Pam's HarvestCraft Food Core: Adds a load of new food items Minecraft.
Pam's HarvestCraft Crops: Addition to Pam's HarvestCraft
Sounds Physics Remastered: Really cool mod that enhances the way stuff sounds
Wireless Chargers: Adds wireless chargers to run machines such as motors from Create Additions.
Other stuff to note
I included Better End and Terrablender in this pack by accident.
What's new
oooooh boy this is a good one
Additions
Storage Drawers: It's a way to store items. I'm going to be totally honest, I don't know how it works. A lot of people suggested it though, so here you go!
Create Additions: Adds more electrical things to Create mod. This supports forge energy though, so refined storage can actually be used now. I didn't know you needed power for that. Sorry! Note that I did have this previously, but it wouldn't launch with Create v0.5.
Quark: Adds a ton of QOL features and blocks. I personally have never heard of it until today, but it looked really neat when I was testing it.
3D Skin Layers: This turns the paper-like parts of your skin into cubes. It just looks nice.
AutoRegLib: Quark dependency
Create Mod: Updated to latest version
Rubidium: Finally, a good forge Optifine replacement. This is a forge port of sodium, and it's pretty cool too. The performance either matches or is better than Optifine's (although you lose out on connected textures and dynamic lighting from torches and stuff).
Oculus: Brings VR into minecr- checks notes, wait a minute, what? Just kidding, this allows you to use shaders with Rubidium, it's an iris fork/port.
Just Zoom: This allows you to zoom like optifine. That's it.
Sophisticated Backpacks: Adds really cool backpacks that are well made. Need I say more?
Farmers Delight: Adds a bunch of fun food to the game.
Removals
Create Chunkloaders: This is a mod that kept Create contraptions loaded. However, I intended for this to be used as a way to keep the old trains going. Obviously, with Create v0.5, I feel as if they aren't really needed any more for the sake of this pack.
Want a mod added? Need help? Find a bug? Join the Discord!.
If you need support, always feel free to join the Discord. Also, if you want a mod added that isn't already in the pack, suggest it there. I respond to literally every mod request. In fact, I wasn't even aware of most of these mods before they were suggested in the #mod-suggestions channel. So hop on in!
A note about Optifine
For one, I would like to say that I cannot add Optifine. It has a license that disallows it from being uploaded elsewhere. However, you can obviouusly add it to your own pack, I just can't provide it here. If you would like to use Optifine, remove Rubidium, Oculus, and Just Zoom.
About the Server
As always, I will be adding these exact changes to the server as well! If you want an economy based automation server using this exact modpack, check it out. All the info and channels is in the Discord, but if you aren't into that the ip (play.automationmc.net) is pre-loaded into the pack, so one click to try it out! If you have ever played any general survival server, you should know your way around pretty easily, but if not, don't worry if you haven't because there are loads of guides on the Discord, and a community that is happy to help!
What's new
it's not much
Updated CC: Tweaked: Old version had fatal bug that crashed servers when disks were used. Don't worry, larger update coming soon :D.
What's new
Added a load of QOL mods
This includes AppleSkin, Inventory HUD+, Configured, etc.
Updated Create Mod to v0.5
This adds LOADS of stuff, such as proper train tracks. This update is mainly based around train things in general.
Removed Create Additions
Currently doesn't launch with Create v0.5
This is a spicy one :D
Changes
Removed Debugify: Caused a bug in JEI
Added Create Additions: Adds loads of fun stuff to Create Mod, also allows for limited integration with ComputerCraft.
Added Advanced Peripherals: Adds extra ComputerCraft things.
Added ReAuth: Helps with the pesky invalid session error.
Added Refined Storage: Adds a lot of more storage options
As always, these changes will be applied to my server, play.automationmc.net, so come on by for a good time!
Changes
Added Chunk Loaders: This is a really cool mod that allows you to keep chunks loaded.
Added WTHIT: Tells you what block you are looking at.
Server Stuff
This portion is dedicated to my server based on this pack, play.automationmc.net. As always, all of these changes have been added to the server. I am in the works of adding a ton of stuff, including Discord chat integration, so try it out!
Changes and jazz
Now added Create Chunkloader. Basically it allows you to make it so any moving Create Mod object will stay loaded. This is ideal for trains and stuff, but keep in mind that you can't place it down and use it as a regular chunk loader.
Distant Horizons has been removed. It had a good run, but just breaks too much to actually be used practically. Once a lot of the bugs are ironed out I would be happy to give it another go.
Server things
As always my server has been updated to support these changes, but I am switching domains! You can join with both, but I am now the proud owner of play.automationmc.net, so come on by! Also, feel free to check out the discord. That's all folks, see you in v2.2!
The changes :D
This is a rather large update, I have now switched from fabric to forge. I'll get to that in a little bit. But for the mods.
Mod Changes
Sodium is now yoinked, and even it's Forge "magnesium" counterpart couldn't fill the gap due to stability issues out of the box. That being said, the best way to approach this is to simply add no performance mod at all by default. Does it suck, yeah kinda, but there is not much I can do here. You can install optifine manually, I use that and it works great, but due to licensing issues I cannot include optifine in the pack.
Controllable: Allows you to use a controller. Don't use one anyway? Great, you won't even notice this mod.
Create mod: You know the drill, same as before, but Create Mod is a lot of this Modpack. It is where the majority of the automation stems from.
ComputerCraft: Well technically the name of this mod is CC: Tweaked. But regardless, same as before, you can program in Lua to make turtles do as you wish, and that is simply it.
Distant Horizons: Lets you see far, with little performance loss. IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS STREAMING YOUR GAME TO DISCORD, DELETE THIS MOD. For some ungodly reason, you can't game capture in Discord with this mod enabled. But it's a cool mod, so here it will say.
Easy Villagers: I am linking this mod because of the license. All Rights Reserved is scary, ok? But for real, it's a great mod, and it works well with create mod. It basically makes villagers more like containers, so it can automate trading. Is this OP? Maybe. Is it kinda cool? Yes.
Misc things: I have mods like debugify, which removes bugs, hopefully. I have fancymenu which makes this pack look like I didn't take 30 minutes to make it. Borderless window, which I can't even confirm works, MyServerIsCompatible, which gets rid of that pesky red X when you join a server with forge mods that don't perfectly match your mod list. There is some more, but that mostly covers those mods.
Why forge?
A lot of game changing mods simply don't support fabric
Fabric is unfortunately a bit too new and a lot of mods just that would be in a modpack like this simply aren't on fabric yet.
There is no good fabric hybrid server jar
For reference, I run a Minecraft server based on this modpack (mc.autocraft.cc).
A hybrid server is one that allows you to run both Plugins and Mods on the same server. I tried using Cardboard (a fabric hybrid), but it had very little compatibility for plugins, and it just wasn't for me. Previously, I was using fabric mods to compensate for these features, and while it worked ok, it's not nearly as good as pure spigot plugins.
On the contrary, I am now able to use a server jar known as "Arclight", which has full 1.18.2 support, exactly what I need. It can run most plugins, and allows me to deliver more of an economy experience than I ever could on Fabric.
The server
As you hopefully know already this modpack is largely made for the server I run (mc.autocraft.cc), and I am happy to say that the server is greatly benefited by this update (see the section above). As I am writing this, I am currently uploading the entire Forge server I have made, so soon after you should be able to join and have a good time as always :D! No progress will be lost, and due to what I can only assume is excellent programming on the devs' end, all of the blocks, even modded ones, ported fine from Fabric to Forge (even ComputerCraft data, literally nothing will be lost).
Backend changes
We now have...
Sign Shops
Auction House
Starting Balance
Kits
Play-time based claim blocks
Warps
Grief Prevention
Tpa things
...and some other stuff to come. Basically, I am no longer restricted by the physical server jar, but my will to configure all these plugins.
So yeah, that's all folks! Hopefully you guys enjoy, and always, please leave both pack and server suggestions in my Discord.
What's new?
Removed a LOAD of mods; it turns out, more mods isn't always good for stability.
Replaced Plasma Voice with Simple Voice Chat; ironically, simple voice chat had more features. Still love plasma voice though, absolutely no shade to the devs.
Other stuff
The server is now officially up and ready for players! You can join with mc.autocraft.cc (or just check your modpack server list :D)
The discord is revamped with extra updates! Get on in here!: https://discord.gg/ySgJtUXyvk
Recent Additions
Added CC: Tweaked (programmers go brrr).
Added Create Mod (main part of this mod).
Added a bunch of QOL mods (such as better F5 camera rotation).
Added some performance mods, such as sodium.
Added some other miscellaneous things, such as crash handling, better lighting, shader handler, etc.
Notes
This release is a bit barebones, but expect cool updates coming soon :).
