Release: DayOfMind R13.2 for 1.21.4 - New Worlds, Final Polish & Performance Boost!
Hey Adventurers, LufatZ here!
I'm thrilled to announce the release of DayOfMind R13.2 for Minecraft 1.21.4! This is the final planned release for the current main iteration (R13.x series) of the modpack, and it brings some significant changes alongside crucial improvements.
🌍 IMPORTANT: World Generation Changes & Existing Worlds!
-
In this version (R13.2), the world generation has been overhauled to offer you even more impressive and diverse landscapes.
-
Can you load existing worlds? Yes, loading your existing worlds is still possible.
-
What do you need to be aware of? Be prepared to see distinct borders or changes in your Minecraft landscape where new chunks meet previously generated ones. Any new areas you explore will be created using the new generation logic.
-
‼️ URGENT RECOMMENDATION: Please, make sure to back up your worlds before loading them with R13.2!
-
Advanced Tip & Tutorial for Managing World Transitions: If you want to smooth out chunk borders, merge parts of an old world into a new one, or perform other advanced chunk operations, the MCA Selector tool can be very helpful. Since these changes can be quite impactful if you want to maintain a seamless world, here's a fundamental video tutorial on using it:
Using this tool is optional and intended for specific scenarios, but it can be invaluable for managing transitions in this update.
✨ Other Highlights of This Version:
- 🚀 Massive Performance Boost: Enjoy a noticeably smoother gameplay experience compared to previous versions! We've maintained and further refined the performance optimizations from the beta phases.
- 🛠️ Stability Enhancements: Various minor bugs have been fixed, and the overall stability of the pack has been improved.
- polishing Final Polish: This version rounds off the current R13.x series.
❗ Important Notes for This Version:
- R13.2 is the final planned update for this current series/iteration of the DayOfMind modpack.
- Future patches for R13.2 will primarily focus on addressing critical, game-breaking bugs.
🔮 Looking Ahead: The NEXT Generation of DayOfMind!
Even though the R13.x series concludes with this release, the journey isn't over! Development of a brand new major version of DayOfMind has already begun. This next generation of the modpack is anticipated to arrive in approximately three months and will offer further profound innovations and a fresh gameplay experience. Stay tuned for more information!

To ensure compatibility with the new Minecraft version, we’ve completely revamped the mod selection. A special shout-out goes to the Distant Horizon Mod for opening up fresh perspectives in the game! -
Simplified Menu:
We’ve simplified the menu to conserve resources and improve stability – keeping things lean and efficient for a smoother gameplay experience. -
Graphic Profiles:
A new mod now lets you create predefined graphic profiles, so you can easily customize your visual settings to match your play style.
Important Notes
As this is an early alpha release, you might encounter unexpected crashes and fluctuating performance. Your feedback is essential to help us polish the experience, so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and report any bugs with clear reproduction steps.
Community Questions & Feedback 🗣️
We’d love to hear your ideas on:
-
UI/UX and Configurations:
- How should we design the new simplified menu? Would you prefer a minimalist look or a more detailed interface?
- What configuration changes would boost both gameplay fun and performance?
-
Balancing Relaxation and Adventure:
- How can we strike the perfect balance between a relaxing experience and the thrill of dungeon mods and other adventurous features?
- Which additional mods would add that extra kick of excitement?
-
Priorities & Improvements:
- Which aspect of the modpack should we improve first: UI/UX, performance optimization, new mod integrations, or quality-of-life enhancements?
- What do you think might be the reason for the current low community participation (e.g., too few updates, unclear communication, or something else)?
