Changelog
This is an ALPHA version of the upcoming 1.6.0 update. There will be bugs! Please report any that you encounter on our Discord server.
1.6.0 is another significant update that will break worlds. This update focuses on the migration away from the Survive mod and the switch to Cold Sweat and Thirst Was Taken, which are far more stable. This is not fully backwards compatible with 1.5.X and many items will be removed. BACK UP YOUR WORLDS before updating.
Migration Information:
Upon joining a world created before the update, the following changes will be made, permanently altering the game and breaking most Survive-related features from pre-1.6.X. If you want to play with an old world on the new version, BACK UP YOUR WORLD. This is very important!
- All purified water in the game will be REMOVED on world loading
- String armor will be removed on world loading
Added Mods:
- Added Cold Sweat
- Visit the mod’s documentation for full information about the new temperature system, but I’ll summarize below
- Temperature indicator
- Shows above the hotbar
- The center of the icon represents the player’s temperature
- The area around that center represents the world temperature
- A thermometer can be made to show specific numerical temperatures
- Temperature mechanics
- If the world temperature reaches over 100° F/38° C, the player’s temperature will start to rise and they will experience negative effects
- The desert is 75° F/24° C at midnight and 105° F/40° C at noon
- You can take shelter in the ship or other sources of shade to reduce the effects of temperature, and it is necessary to do this during the warmest hours of the day
- You can insulate yourself from high temperatures with Desert Armor, Leather Insulation, or a Stillsuit (see Custom Items section below)
- The deeper underground you get, temperature is affected less by the current time
- Temperature indicator
- Visit the mod’s settings in your options menu if you’d like to change your default temperature units from F to C
- Visit the mod’s documentation for full information about the new temperature system, but I’ll summarize below
- Added Thirst Was Taken
- This replaces Survive with a new Thirst system
- Water bottles now have 4 purity tiers:
- Dirty
- Slightly Dirty
- Acceptable
- Purified
- The different tiers have different chances of giving you negative status effects
- Purifying Water:
- You can purify water 2 tiers by smelting it
- You can quickly purify water 1 tier by using a water filter
- You can use the Sand Filter to purify water using Create
- Most machines that passes through machines will change its tier to acceptable automatically
- You can make a Camel Pack to automatically drink (see Custom Items section below)
- You can reduce your water consumption rate using a Stillsuit (see Custom Items section below)
- Added Sync Forge, a new port of the sync mod that was forked from my version of Sync Fabric
- This should fix a few bugs with the current version and removes the requirement for Fabric compatibility, making the mod more stable and lightweight
- Added e4mc, now all worlds opened to LAN are hosted online (can be disabled)
- This will allow for easier multiplayer game hosting (and reduce how much time I spend explaining server hosting mechanics to people)
- Added AppleSkin back
- If you experience framerate drops when holding food, go to the AppleSkin config and disable all entries that mention the HUD overlay.
- Added CitReforged for custom water item textures
- Updated ~60 additional mods
Removed Mods:
- Removed Survive
- All purified water buckets, canteens, charcoal filters, water bowls, temperature regulators, thermometers, etc. will be REMOVED upon joining an old world
- All purified water liquid in the world will be removed
- All purified water bottles will be turned into invalid potion items, but can still be drunk to restore thirst
- Removed string armor, desert clothes should be used instead

- Removed Sinytra Connector and its addons, no fabric mods are in use anymore
