📦 about the modpack:
Jigsaw is a modpack that aims to provide the technical and customisable features offered by OptiFine- such as shader support, capes, and connected block textures- to players on Fabric. Whilst this modpack may not offer complete parity to OptiFine’s original features, I have done my best to make it as consistent as possible (This should be improved once I add configs (edit: this will be in the overhaul).
🛠️ installation:
To install the modpack, make sure you are using one of the launchers that currently supports Modrinth's modpack format, and follow the installation instructions for your launcher as listed in the documentation linked above.
🚀 Using an unsupported launcher? (Including Vanilla's)
If you use a launcher that does not support modpack loading or the Modrinth modpack format, you can use Superpack by Gaming32 to extract the mods from this modpack into a folder on your PC.
To run Superpack, download the latest .jar release and double-click the file to run it with Java (You will need at least Java 11 to run Superpack). Then select the "Import from file" option from the sidebar and upload the version of this modpack you have downloaded, choose a destination for the folder to be created in and press the "Install!" button to extract the mods. You can then move the mods from the folder created by your filepath into Minecraft's mods folder.
📋 features:
This modpack does not include OptiFine's optimisation features, but if you're using this modpack because of the better performance mods Fabric has to offer over OptiFine, consider checking out my optimisation modpack, toaster support!
The (QOL) version of this modpack includes popular OptiFine features such as shader support and customisation, connected block textures, OptiFine capes, and some of OptiFine’s quality of life features, including dynamic lighting (With offhand lights), a zoom key, better configuration, and more!
The (Technical) versions of the modpack only support the more technical features of OptiFine, like CEM, CIT and data-driven entity models. For the full list of what else is included and which mods support OptiFine formats, please refer to the table in a changelog of a (Technical) version.
