Many large modpacks just throw lots of mods together without much tweaking or tutorializing. In contrast, this modpack is designed to be a carefully customized overhaul of Minecraft, turning it into an open-world sandbox RPG with focused, semi-linear character progression and rewardingly difficult combat. Every mod included has been thoughtfully configured and enhanced with custom content to achieve this.

How to install and fix Java errors

This modpack (and almost all 1.20.1 modpacks) requires Java 17 (an older version of Java) to run. Vanilla Minecraft's launcher has this included when you install it, but most modded launchers do not. The easiest way to fix this will vary based on your launcher.

The most popular launchers right on Modrinth now are ATLauncher, Modrinth Launcher, and Prism Launcher.

As of January 2025, ATLauncher comes with portable binaries for Java 17 (just like Vanilla) and requires no configuration to run this modpack. Just install and hit play!

Modrinth Launcher comes with a convenient way to download Java 17 in its Settings. Simply find "Java 17 Location" in settings and click "Install Recommended" to automatically download the correct binaries.

Prism Launcher, like Modrinth, allows Java 17 installation in Settings. Go to Settings > Java > Management > Download, then select Java 17. Select the most recent version from this menu (any source will work), then click "Download".

Most other launchers, require manual installation of Java 17. Instructions can be found below for Windows, MacOS, and Linux.

Other Notes:

Adding content mods to this modpack after install is not recommended due to the presence of orphaned configs used for development. If you choose to add content mods, check the configs for files first before launching. This will be fixed in the next patch.

English is currently the only supported language, and will be for the forseeable future. If an automatic translation mod is added to Fabric 1.20.1's library, that will immediately be added in a patch as soon as I am aware of it.

I make no money off this pack, it is only for the community to enjoy. The License of this modpack applies only to the works and modifications of my own creation that I have included with the mrpack file. It does not apply to all of the works contained in a normal install, which uses Modrinth services to pull mods from their serves, all of which use their own license. Please refer to each project's download page for their relevant licensing information, which can be easily accessed in the Versions page. To preserve this pack permanently, keep a local install or .zip export file as a backup. This will store all mods locally.
