Smithed Summit 2026
The Smithed Summit is a two-week-long data pack convention held on a Minecraft server. During the event, players were able to check out handcrafted showcase booths, meet skilled creators from various communities, participate in informative panels, playtest maps, find collectibles, play games, listen to an original note block soundtrack, and explore the interactive world.
⚠️ Vanilla Server
This mod pack is optional, and was not required to experience any of the Summit.
It ran from August 8th to August 22nd, 2026. Players could join at any time during the convention. Live events were strewn across the convention's tenure, which can be seen in the gallery.
Being a data pack convention, the Summit is totally compatible with vanilla Minecraft! This mod pack provides optimization tweaks tailored for the server, and is not required to experience the Summit.
What's happening
What's the good cheap fun at the Smithed Summit?
Throughout the Summit world, over 65 booths showcasing data packs, tools, websites, communities, and more could be found. Each brought something unique to the event, whether it be a competitive minigame, theme park experiences, or a regional soundtrack.
Players made meals at Crop & Kettle, experienced Minecraft as a roguelike with Enter the Bungeon, raced around through Ride & Dash, and so much more.
Post-conclusion
Will I be able to play on the Summit world after the convention is over?
Being a vanilla compatible convention, anybody will be able to download and play on the Summit world. Now that the event has concluded, we'll be applying some polish and tweaks, then it'll be included in this very mod pack! (As well as somewhere on the Smithed website.)

Invite friends and experience the convention in your own time. Play every game. Collect all the plushies, stickers, and balloons. Find all the secrets. Locate all of the Starwalkers. Show everything to Beetrice. All on your own time.
Panel events, due to their live nature, can't be included in a singleplayer world. However, all events will be recorded and uploaded to the Smithed YouTube channel, alongside Summit 2024's panels as well.
Modded content
If the Summit is "vanilla", why are there mods in this mod pack? Isn't the whole point of the Summit that it's not modded?
Indeed! None of these mods are required to experience the Summit.
The Summit world, due to it in fact relying on vanilla features and pushing it to their limits, is quite resource intense. The majority of mods included in this mod pack attempt to optimize the game so that the Summit can be accessible to all. This includes but is not limited to:
Additionally, this pack is designed so that players can experience the Summit effortlessly. The following mods speed up that process:
- #MyServer ("Join Server" button)
- Skip Transitions (jump right in)
These are the only mods that may diverge from some definitions of "vanilla". They are meant to enhance a player's experience on the Summit without feeling out-of-place:
- Simple Voice Chat (socialize with others)
- Simple Fog Control (pleasent ambiance for...)
- Voxy (see the entire Summit world)
The following mods have not been included, but can be added if desired:
- Zoom mod (we hand out spyglasses)
- Sodium Extra
Again, none of these mods are required in any way. They're highly recommended, yet entirely optional. Anybody can experience the Summit from an unmodded 26.2 client!
