SMP Mods
This is the server pack for SMP Mods, a group of mod packs made to enhance the SMP experience and make it more enjoyable.
This pack is built upon the mods in the Hermitcraft server with a few additional mods and added features.
Features of the SMP Mods
- Simple Voice Chat: Adds proximity chat to Minecraft.
- Audio Player: Allows you to add custom discs and horns using Simple VC.
- Status: A mod that allows you to set your status.
- Elytra Trims: Allows you to trim your elytra.
- Styled Nicknames: Allows you to set your nickname.
- Vanilla Tweaks Datapacks: Check out the datapacks.
- Vanilla Tweaks Craft Tweaks: Check out the craft tweaks.
- Performance Mods: I also added some performance mods.
Players can still join without the client pack, but the features added by the server pack won't work without it. So, you should probably have your players install it: SMP Mods Client.

-
Download and Install Fork
First, download Fork from here and run the.exe
file to install it. -

After installing Fork, you may be prompted to install Java. Click on one of the provided links and follow the instructions to install Java. I recommend using the Microsoft link, as it’s the easiest option. Once Java is installed, restart Fork. -
Download SMP Mods Server Files
Next, download the.zip
file of the SMP Mods server. Important: Do not download the.mrpack
file, as it’s not the same. Make sure to get the.zip
file directly from the version page. -
Extract the SMP Mods Files
Navigate to your downloads folder, right-click on the downloaded.zip

ClickExtract
and wait for the process to complete. -
Copy the Extracted Files
Once the extraction is complete, select all the files and pressCtrl + C
to copy them. -
Create a Fabric Server in Fork
Open Fork and click "Create A Server." Select "Fabric" as your server type, and make sure the version matches the SMP Mods version you downloaded. Name your server and click the anvil icon on the left to create it. Note: We’re not using Fork’s "Import Server" option because it can be buggy. You can ignore all other settings, as they’ll be reset when we import the SMP Mods files. You can adjust them later if needed. -
Import SMP Mods Files into Fork
On the left side of Fork, click the gear icon. In the settings menu, you'll see blue text that says "Open in File Explorer." Click it. Select everything in that folder, delete it, and then pressCtrl + V
to paste the SMP Mods files. -
Start Your Server
You can now exit File Explorer and start your server by clicking the play button in Fork. -
