Sylvan: New Beginning
Philosophy
I created this modpack as a simple creation for enhancing the beautiful game, by ameliorating its good parts and stripping out its bad parts: nevertheless, numerous content mods are added, so long as they either fully use vanilla blocks or add in elements that fit in to the game's style.
I believe in having fun more than gritty realism and adding content. Included with this modpack are popular content mods such as:
- Create Fabric (with some addons such as the Create: Interactive mod to enhance the contraptions system)
- Terralith, with Amplified Nether and various worldgen modifications to make exploration more fun
- This includes the full suite of Yung's Better Minecraft mods, which fundamentally revamp the aged default Minecraft structures into things of beauty
- Valkyrien Skies 2, a mod that lets you transform Minecraft blocks and Create contraptions into full physics machines even capable of flight
However, the main strength of this pack is in the numerous Quality-Of-Life mods. Some of them are aimed at removing frustrating parts of gameplay, such as Forgiving Void (when falling into the void, the player teleports back to the top of the map and lands safely if they were at full health), while some like Visuality, Better Command Block UI, Screenshot to Keyboard and Visual Workbench exist to better smaller parts of the game in general.

Performance
Sylvan bundles many performance mods and fixes in its releases, ensuring that even the weakest hardware has a chance at running the game playably.
Installation
This project recommends the Prism Launcher project for easy installation and updating of all mods. Plus, Prism is fully open-source, lightweight, and available on macOS, Windows and every Linux distribution (via Flatpak, AppImage or native packages).
