I built this pack because I missed the feeling of actually being afraid of the dark in Minecraft. It’s called The Castel Experience, and it’s less about "jump scares" and more about that skin-crawling feeling that you’re being watched by something that doesn't follow the rules of the game. It turns a sandbox into a psychological trap where the goal isn't just to build—it's to stay sane.
How it works
The "twist" here is that I’ve layered several different "stalker" entities that all behave differently. While From The Fog handles the classic, subtle legend of Herobrine, mods like The Anomaly and The Obsessed focus on messing with your head—distorting your vision, playing tricks on your audio, and appearing just at the edge of your render distance.
I also overhauled the atmosphere. AmbientSounds and Sound Physics Remastered make caves feel massive and echoing, so every footstep sounds like it might not be yours. It’s designed to make you second-guess every shadow.
[!IMPORTANT] A quick note on performance: To keep this running smoothly with all the lighting and entity scripts, you'll probably need to dive into the Embeddium settings. Depending on your PC, tweaking the "Quality" and "Performance" tabs in the video settings is the difference between a cinematic horror movie and a slideshow.
[Note] This Modpack is designed to identify what elements people find genuinely scary in psychological horror. Based on this feedback, I will create my own horror mod focusing on the aspects that are found to be most frightening, while leaving out what is not effective.

(Advice)
Don't play this with the lights on. The whole point of this pack is the atmosphere, and if you're rushing through it like a normal survival world, you're going to miss the best parts. Listen to the wind, pay attention to the chat, and for the love of God, don't look behind you.
