This was actually my first plugin! :D

This plugin helps server owners and mods see if and what modified minecraft clients their players are using!

Features:

  • A command to see what client a player is using.
  • An option to include the player's client in the join message.
  • An option to block certain clients.
  • And more coming soon!

Permissions:

(for luckperms etc. Don't forget that with op you will have all of these permissions by default)

  • clientdetector.* (Gives you every permission related to the Client Detector plugin!)
  • clientdetector.command.* (Allows you to use all Client Detector commands.)
  • clientdetector.command.client (Allows you to use the /client command.)
  • clientdetector.clientblocker.bypass (Lets you join the server even if you are using a blocked client.)
  • clientdetector.joinmessage.hide (Prevents the server from showing your client in the join message.)

Commands:

  • /client(or /getclient) <player>
  • /clientdetector(, /cd, /clientd or /cdetector) <arg>

Q & A:

  • Q: Does this work with ViaVersion?

  • A: Yes!

  • Q: Can this detect Geyser players?

  • A: I don't know as i can't seem to figure out how to set a geyser server up.

  • Q: What clients does this support?

  • A: All clients (that are not pretending to be vanilla) can be detected!

  • Q: Can you add Velocity support?

  • A: Velocity support may come in the future but it's likely not coming soon.

  • Q: Does this work on 1.20.2?

  • A: All releases release should work however it is currently not tested.

Don't forget that if you find bugs or have suggestions you can report them at https://github.com/Fritcha/Client-Detector/issues

I hope you enjoy :)
