Hide and Hunt

One jar, everything included: drop the plugin into your plugins folder and start the server – it builds its own lobby and 25 maps into a separate arena world. No schematics, no extra downloads. English and German built in (/vj language en).

Five game modes – several games at once

• Hide and Seek – the classic: hide, collect coins, buy abilities, survive.
• Tasks – hide and finish mini-games together at glowing stations.
• Prop Hunt – the hiders turn into blocks, the hunter has to find them.
• Zone Wars – free for all with 3 lives in a moving, shrinking zone: crates full of items, building, jump pads and random events. Last one standing wins.
• Among Us – the hunter is secret: tasks, reporting bodies, meetings, votes, 11 roles, vents, cameras, colours and ghosts that keep doing their tasks – on Space Station, Airship, Polus, Fungle and Mira HQ.

Parties: walk through a gate in the lobby (or /vj play), create a party, invite friends, pick map, mode and special modes and start. Several parties play at the same time on different maps and in different modes.

25 special modes

Switch on extra fun for every mode except Among Us – combine them freely: Bounty, Tracker beacon, Blackout, Moon gravity, Turbo round, Gold rush, Supply drops, Jump pads, Snowball fight, King hunt, Chameleon, Giants & dwarves, Footprints, Cuckoo, Time pressure – and for Prop Hunt: Taunts, Decoys, Kaboom, Mini props, Block chaos, Misses hurt …

How a round works

• One or more hunters start locked in a cage, the hiders run off and hide. Their vision is limited and they hear a heartbeat when a hunter comes close.
• Only the hunter can attack: 2 hits (configurable) and a hider is caught – with a red screen flash on every hit.
• Closets, lockers, toilet stalls and floor hatches make you invisible to the hunter – until you panic.
• Random jumpscares make all hiders glow for a second – more often the less time is left.
• Caught players spectate inside the map; anyone can also just watch running games.

Press F to open the shop. Purchases go to your inventory and are used with right-click.

Lobby, rules & leaderboard

A clean lobby island with a gate for every mode, a board of running games and open parties, a rulebook and a leaderboard – overall and per mode – with the best players' heads on a podium. Play a series of rounds with points and an award ceremony with fireworks.

Voice chat (optional)

With Simple Voice Chat installed: ghosts and spectators only hear each other, Among Us crew can only talk in meetings, hunters hear each other across the map (in Among Us without any visible group – nobody can tell who the hunters are), and your party hears you anywhere in the lobby.

Every map is checked automatically: everything is reachable on foot, no holes into the void.

For admins

• /vj menu – everything by click: map, hunters, times, modes, special modes, series, language, spectators, start
• Settings laptop in the lobby for Among Us (roles, cooldowns, meetings, vision, vents, maps)
• Inventory, position, XP and effects are saved before a round and restored afterwards – even after a crash.
• No mobs, no hunger, no name tags, no hitboxes (F3+B), locator bar off, nothing can be broken.

Requirements: Paper (or Purpur) 1.21.4 – 26.3, Java 21+. Spigot and Folia are not supported.
