Description
Programmer Art x Fresh Animations: Extensions complements Programmer Art x Fresh Animations (Fresh Programmer Animations) by adding support for FA+All_Extensions, along with additional content of its own.
This pack was previously included as an extension pack on the main Fresh Programmer Animations project page. It has since been moved into its own project to streamline distribution, simplify development, and make it easier to maintain independently. This pack is intended to be used alongside Fresh Programmer Animations and is NOT designed to be used on its own. (For the intended resource pack loading order, please refer to the bottom of this page)
Info
Some features of FA+All_Extensions have been intentionally removed to maintain consistency with Minecraft's earlier visual design. In effect, this pack selectively overrides certain extensions from FA+All_Extensions, eliminating the need to manage those extensions separately while keeping the overall setup clean and free of clutter. These changes are outlined further in the content overview below.
Content Overview
Special Renamed Variants
- Rename a creeper to "Aww man" to obtain two different variants with red eyes inspired by "Revenge" by CaptainSparklez. Each has a 1% natural spawn chance.
- Rename a pig to "Legend" to obtain the TechnoThePig variant. Equip it with a saddle to add a cape. Technoblade Never Dies!
- Rename a pink sheep to "Pink Sheep" to obtain the variant inpired by ExplodingTNT's Pink Sheep character.
- Rename a pink sheep to "Mr. Pink Sheep" to add the iconic thug life sunglasses to the variant above.
- Rename a purple sheep to "Purple Shep" to obtain the variant inpired by ExplodingTNT's Purple Shep character.
- Rename a witch to "Slamacow Witch" to obtain the variant from "Witch Encounter" by Slamacow.
- Rename a witch to "Rave Witch" to add rave-style glasses to the variant above.
- Rename a slime to "Slamaslime" to obtain Slamacow's slime variant. It has a 2% natural spawn chance.
Pigmen
- Added Classic Pigmen.
- Pigmen have a 50% chance to use zombified piglin animations and a 50% chance to use zombie animations, preserving the classic appearance.
- Pigmen have a 50% chance to spawn with a snout.
- Pigmen wielding golden axes use a custom texture based on piglin brutes (Minecraft 1.21.5+ only, as there is an issue with NBT tags in previous versions).
- Rename any pigman to "Legend" to give it a crown.
Additional Mob Variety
- Chickens, cows, mooshrooms, pigs, and sheep have a 50% chance to spawn without ears or tails. These variants add visual diversity while maintaining a more vanilla-friendly appearance.
- Sheep in the Extension Pack feature dyed wool undercoats even in versions before 1.21.5, while sheep in the base pack do not have dyed wool on their heads (the undercoat part) even in versions after 1.21.5, to preserve the classic look. Their bodies do still have dyed undercoats though!
Removals/Overrides
- The Spiders Edit is overridden entirely. Normal spiders appear instead.
- The Creeper Edit is overriden entirely. Normal creepers appear instead.
- Custom chest models of llamas and donkeys from the Details Add-on are overridden. They use default models instead.
- Custom sheep models from the Details Add-on are overridden. Default ones are used instead.
- A few more small things that are hard to keep track of lol...
Known Issues: None!
Special Thanks
-
FreshLX: For granting permission to include animation assets for classic horses, donkeys, and mules, as well as armor and saddles.
-
Kizzycocoa: For providing and permitting the use of the base models for classic bats and classic pigmen, as well as helping clarify some uncertainties regarding nbt tags.
-
GillsBills: For helping me understand how to give a renamed entity its own custom model rather than having it remain bound to the default model. (This was very early on, when I didn’t yet realize that it was basically the same process as with random entities, lol)
-
MidniteDemolisher: For helping me understand how to give a renamed entity its own custom texture when paired with a custom model. (This was very early on as well :P)
