When I first tried the Modrinth Launcher, I downloaded my favorite performance modpack, Remarkably Optimized, only to find that I couldn't remove any of the mods without going into the mods folder and deleting the jars manually. Naturally, I went back to using Prism Launcher, which allows you to do this normally. But I also realized that there are no modpacks on Modrinth that give you all the performance mods and nothing else. MercuryFPS aims to solve that problem, giving you all the performance mods you will ever need, without any unnecessary mods that you can't delete.

MercuryFPS is a performance modpack based on Remarkably Optimized that aims to meaningfully boost Minecraft's performance without the bloat found in many of the most popular modpacks (example: full Optifine feature parity that almost no mods make use of). This modpack ONLY includes performance mods. The rest is up to you.

Q: There are a lot of mods in this modpack. I thought you said there was no bloat?

A: Every mod we include meaningfully enhances performance. We don't include any mods that don't belong in a performance modpack.

Q: How is this mod different from Remarkably Optimized?

A: Remarkably Optimized greatly improves the performance of Minecraft, but it also includes mods that add features that are unnecessary in a performance modpack. MercuryFPS strips those mods out, resulting in a completely vanilla Minecraft experience that performs up to three times as well as Vanilla Minecraft. You can decide what to add from there.
