Sandstorm 1.4.5 patch

The time is finally here! Back during the 1.4 patch we aimed to get the Modpack hosted on Modrinth to make updating easier for everyone involved easier and finally we have been able to get our pack hosted! To celebrate we have a little QoL update to push out that updates a lot of our mods and replaces some of our current mods and fixes up their issues. We will be removing our current Pronoun mod due to the issues that we found at scale and replacing it with Show Your Identity which as it runs server side should be much more robust. Additonally we will be replacing Down But Not Out with Incapacitated providing us with a much more interesting 3 down system requiring rest or a golden apple to regain your lost downs.

Additonally these updates prove a lot of new foods from rustic delight, some system overhauls in Tide as well as a fix meaning all fish should now be keepable in world when placed from a bucket or name tagged. Your new aquariums can now be viewed by a range of new bug life added by critters and companions as they have back ported their Bugs & Beetles update as well as a range of other updates to 1.20.1!

Unfortunately we were not able to upload all our mods to Modrinth and as such we have provided a small zip folder of 5 mods that are required additions that you will need to add to your Modpack before your pack can launch. A link to that file can be found below, a change over guide will also be provided to make sure you're transition to the official Modpack is seamless

New mods:

• Incapacitated
  • We are replacing the current Down But Not Out system with with a mod that should hopefully function better than our current system and fix issues with our previous down system.
• No Chat Restrictions (Disabled by default)
  • This should allow the British to type on our Minecraft server.
• Show Your Identity
  • This mod will be replacing PronounMC and clearing up the clutter it was causing.
• Entity Model Features
  • Added as a requirement for EmoteBend.
• Entity Texture Features
  • Added as a requirement for EmoteBend.

New built-in resource pack

• EmoteBend
  • This new resource will allow our players to have their emotes bend their arms and legs. These emotes may have some unintended interactions with 3D Skin Layers.

Removed mods:

• PronounMC
  • This mod didn't hold up to the scale of the server, so we are replacing it with Show Your Identity. This should allow for easier reading.
• Down But Not Out
  • We are replacing this with Incapacitated, which should remove many of the issues with the previous mod and make both downing and reviving more consistent.

Updated mods:

• Tide 2
  • This is a fairly large update. Key Notes:
  • Information items now show details in the GUI; some can be placed. Fishy notes now unlock the fish in the fishing journal.
  • Fish should no longer despawn when name tagged or released from a bucket.

  • Some Grappling Hook functionality has changed, movement may feel different.
  • Dragonflies should be fixed and will be reenabled at least for the time being.

• Chat Heads
  • New "3D-ness" feature that renders the hat layer slightly bigger to appear less flat.

  • Bulk stairs have a new model.

  • The following foods have been added: Coffee Cookie, Sweet Salad, slices for Bell Peppers, slices for Roasted Bell Peppers, Bell Pepper Roll variants, Rice Roll Royale, Fried Dough, and Fried Dumplings.

  • A new book reading animation, the ability to edit the author field when signing, bookmarks, and exporting signed books have been added. Importing and Exporting books have been moved to keybinds instead of manual prompts.
